Dragged a group to check it out last night. Here are some thoughts.

NO AIR CONDITIONING. I didn't notice that in the reviews above. 200 baht drinks and upscale with no air doesn't work for me in April. Lots of complaints within the group until it rained. Then it was funny watching the owners run around cranking down 8-10 big plastic rain blocks. This is because it is open air on all sides. I was uncomfortable as there was not breeze or noticeable fan. Needs an air con section.

Drinks suck and slow. I'm on water this week, but the girls ordered cocktails. They all complained. Chased down one of the owners. Reluctantly replaced one of the drinks. Dropped it off and walked away. Drink still sucked. Not good at 200 baht per.

Music. Current Ibiza chill house. very good. but with no other entertainment it is too mellow after 11pm. We were dozing off.

No single girls. Bring your own. Well a group of farang women came in...not sure if that counts.

No view. You're up on the second floor. Strangely the road and beach view was blocked.

Design. They put a lot of care and thought into it. Lot of detail work. But getting a little tired of the colored light reflecting off white Plexiglas look. Even Fuji restaurant at Central did that a few years ago. So upscale beach lounge.

Toilets. Down stairs.

Stand-off owners. I believe bar owners here must put their face on the places. Especially with a pretty obviously local crowd. I want to talk with the owner or I'm not as interested. One of the many owners only came over to change an ash tray. Should have come over sooner to introduce himself.

Sounds pretty negative. In a way it wasn't that bad. Falls into the category of "Wish it would work here but don't think it will". Doubt I will be back before 1) the weather cools down in September 2) get better drinks at better prices 3)more happening. I wish it would work, I'd like to support it, but not much of a reason to right now. Still worth checking out simply because it is new.

As said above, you can't miss it. right between Rock City and Saxaphone. Up on the second level. Look for lots of green and a big "Club Lime" sign on the street.

Tunes sounds interesting.. Open air always provides a temp problem.. Perhaps they could look into those misting fans and systems, they work amazingly well in outdoor environments...

I remember becoming a bit of a regular at a bunker bar and offending the barowner or barman simply by asking for a double.. I was drinking shots / chasers and he started up 'no one says I pour a mean drink' and was kinda offended.. He poured all the rest of my drinks right o the lip of the glass..

I have found US bar staff to be more free with drinks and bottles, works into the tips and customer service aspects I think.. The UK is all legislated levels, weights and measures..

Wrong location, too far away from Bangla and other clubs, will not get a following and after ATM's report I for one will not even go now to check it out. Open air no cooling stuff, no friendliness from owners and no women, really got the secret for success going here!!!!

Ya those things are probibly the best thing made in Thailand. I don't think it would work there. Hardwood floors, wood trip, and silk covers on the sofa loungers. Visually wouldn't work as well. But they need to figure out something. Would have been happy to share the feedback with the owners...if they asked. Changing ash trays and rolling down the rain blockers is more important.

i brought my vancouver workmated to one of my locals in Hoboken and their jaws dropped when they saw our bill at the end of the night
if you know the bartenders, as long as the tip is coming at the end of the night in a local, you pay peanuts

Tho normal US draught beer is piss so people drink more mixers / shots...

If those misting fans are set up right (fine enough mist) the water droplets evaporate without condensing on any thing or landing.. They should not make anything wet or damp but the evaporation into the air lowers the air temp.. If badly set up the water droplets are too large and they are then airborne drops.

The system isnt cheap and it doesnt go AC cold but it does knock many degrees out of the air.. I know someone who paid to have it in a covered outdoor section of thier villa and it means you have cool air for outdoor dining etc.. Lovely..

I don't want to hijack the discussion of water fans, but reading about Club Lime made me think about Home Bar. Is it even open now? I looked down the soi last week and it seemed to be closed, or at least the outside sign was not lit.

2 items taken out of your review which most interest me. Drinks because that is how the club should make money and music because it is often the most atmosphere setting item...

Drinks.... should be strong, good and correctly priced. They go wrong, they will loose my business quick.

Music. Sounds ok. But agree, during the night tempo should follow the crowd or the policy set by the owners...

Will try them out soon, nothing better than an own experience.

BTW, always surprised that so many will not get their own experience of places, especially when it is a litlle more upscale than Tai Pan and Tiger..... Do not wish to offend but it is just an observation.

Dropped by last night. Bunch of people there post the sponsored vodka (read free) party at the lofts.

So more people and good crowd compared to when I was there last. DJ very good. Decided I'd stay for at least one drink just to hear the music. Heard friday is the busier night.

Also noticed they are bringing in BKK djs from time to time. Also they had the fans cranked so it was nice and cool.

BTW, somewhat other related but random info. Seduction is busier around 2:30am. they are running a new promo from 12-1am that all poured drinks are 30baht.

With the 4am bar closing the disco's will have to be more creative getting punters in ... thanks for Club Lime update ATM ... maybe give it another try sometime... alos noticed some tuk-tuks sproting Club Lime ads, so at least they are beginning to promote the place at last.

Last night Tiger had some sort of Corona do, was not much competition to Love Bar however ... Major Tom was doing his best to drink Love Bar dry ... hope your OK mate :
