Hi everyone

I tried to find a colon cleanse in Boots and Holland and Barratt and both shop assistants looked at me as though I was bonkers!

I have used Neways Parafree (Purge) which I think contains the same herbs as Hulda Clarke's Parasite Cleanse (Wormwood, Black Walnut Hulls etc). It was effective but expensive and I didn't do it for long enough really because of the cost. In the past I've also used Grapefruit Seed Extract (Biocare?) which gets rid of a lot of old junk but is quite harsh. I didn't get on at all well with Psyllium Husks and the like because my system couldn't cope with the fibre and I had a very painful bloated abdomen after taking it.

I've been thinking of trying colonic hydrotherapy but the only person I know of who does it locally used to give me Bowen therapy and I think I would find it embarassing (would rather have a complete stranger do it!). Didn't Princess Diana used to have it done regularly? No wonder she had such nice skin!

Is not it in Switzerland where they use a cord? They swallow the cord - mind one end hooked up to a molar and when it comes out naturally you just pull and let the cord do his job. It is true!

Coincidentally I got a Boots magazine through the post today and I see they are advertising a product called Detoxil which contains Artichoke, Dandelion, Grapefruit Extract and other good stuff. There is a website - www.detoxil.com.

I forgot to mention that Neways also do a Colon Cleansing Tea called Puri-Tea, which they suggest you use over the weekend because of the "side effects" which presumably are lots of trips to the loo! Haven't tried it though.
