You're no English professor. I say false rumours because rumours have a possibility of becoming reality. But because the rumours you're spreading, have absolutely zero possibility of becoming reality, I call it a false rumour. There's nothing wrong with saying it way, because it is proper English.

Remember, when cattle is waiting in a line to get slaughtered in the slaughterhouse, they all still line up for it. The majority is always right. There is always that one animal that runs away and tries to warn the others, but the others ignore it and just keep lining up for their slaughter.

What about the people that line up in order to serve our country in the armed forces? They are proud to risk their lives for us. Same with cattle. They are proud to line up and get slaughtered, just to be part of our dinner table. That's the ultimate sacrifice.

People lining up to get vaccinated are contributing to a healthy population. A healthy population contributes to a healthy economy and a healthy nation.

Yes, I agree...but a 'false rumor' is still a legitimate saying. I know we are on a massage forum here (and not English class) but here's an example of a "false" rumor vs. a legitimate one.

Joe overheard parts of a HR conversation about Bob becoming the next CEO. Although he's not 100% sure (and it hasn't been formally announced yet), he started to tell a few friends.

Just for the fun of it, Joe started to tell a few friends that Bob the janitor will be the next CEO.

Guess which one is the "false" rumour....

Now look up, uncertain, doubtful. It means it's not 100% positive. It's still possible that it may be true.

Therefore a rumour can still turn out to be true.

In your case, the rumours you're spreading are false, because they are completely untrue, and will never be true.

Bob the janitor becoming the next CEO, is a false rumour because there's no chance that it is true. Joe just made it up for the fun.

But if Joe overheard parts of a conversation from the HR department, then it's a legitimate rumour, because it may or may not be true.

The rumours that you're spreading are beyond uncertain or doubtful. They are simply untrue. Therefore, your rumours are false. That's why I call your rumours, false rumours.

There's a big difference between something that you're uncertain about, and something you're sure about to be not true.

A rumour is something that you're uncertain about. A false rumour is a rumour that you are certain about to be untrue. Hence the difference between a rumour and a false rumour.

I was always reluctant to get vaccinated because I wondered what was in it for me. Well, I took the jab against my better judgment and am regretting it. Still wearing a mask and still facing possible lockdown. Not exactly the incentive I was looking for. Life didn't change for the better.

If it didn't get better this year, it won't next Christmas as well. At least I got my ticket to Florida next month and will be looking for property in Orlando. 5-6 months of "normalcy" out of 12 months is no way to live.

Don't come back, I wouldn't. lol

Everyone always loves to tell people how to live their lives. Wear a mask. Stay 6 feet apart. Stay at home. Blah blah blah. Nobody advocates for a healthier lifestyle. If you don't eat right, sleep right and get some exercise, COVID will kill you no matter how many jabs you take or how many of Fraudster Fauci's bogus guidelines you follow.
