Do you really not believe Chinese, "on average", are better at math than other nations, or that Blacks, "on average", are better athletes, or that Indians (particularly those in India) don't haggle on price more than other nationalities...again, "on average".

So by your logic, men are not physically stronger than women because one or two of them can kick our ass (such as Ursus's wife).

Nope , i dobt believe that chinese are better at math, what i do believe in this case is that alot of Chinese immigrants as well as others come to this country and as alot of the Canadians are out partying on a Friday night, they might not be as popular as new Canadians , so they just stay home and study. Blacks are not better atheletes...where did you ever read that ??? Maybe some black person who wants to stereo type??/You use the word on " Average" ...here again think of this like they would in a court of law.You need to prove this fact, not what you believe in your heart. KL, if you think Asians are short, may be you haven't met Chinese from Northern part of China. The ladies from that part of China I have met were over 5' 7 to 5' 10" in avg. Too frkn tall for my liking.

You are 100% correct that stereotyping has resulted in some very evil events in the past and can lead to negative beliefs and actions. But to deny some stereotypes are based on strong statistical evidence is being ignorant. Insurance companies, police, airlines, etc. use stereotyping all the time, whether we like it or not.

Here are some stereotypes...you don't think they are statistically accurate?

Men are more violent than women
Young men are more likely to get in a car accident than young women
Women are more emotional then men
Old people are not as sexually active as young people ( KJ notwithstanding)

I saw an indian guy asking a receptionist if they had brown girls, He looked fob and desperate. He probably didn’t want to spend much and really needed a bargain. He left cause receptionist said there were no brown girls working that day. Btw, I think they are the ones who leave water bottles by toilets since they don’t use toilet paper. Most of them are hard workers though, their children become doctors and scientists, and sometimes mpas.

To some degree you are correct , however, what insurance companies, the police and the rest based on true facts....but some , assertions or beliefs are based not on valid facts...like indians are hagglers?? or Jews are this or that or Chinese are this or that....any of theae assertions are NOT based on statiscal facts....do you reallt think, for/example, that someobe compiled a significant amount of data saying...." I was in the bathroom at a spa taking a shower after a session, i heard the bell ring and some guy came in. he was talking to the ladies for a while then i heard "so you guys dont serve people like me?" now me being a black man was very confused when i heard this, because i had just finished a very nice session, and was treated great and ive never had any trouble at a spa ever with mpa refusing to see me. I realized the guy talking was some brown guy, their excuse was that the showers werent working at the moment (which they werent when i had arrived but they served me anyways and the showers started working by the end of the session). he left in frustration, really shocked didnt know brown guys have that bad of a rep when it comes to these things.

Insightful Post. Yes I have heard that repeatedly at Asian spas. A MPA I know well said that she had a guy come in, offer $20 for FS and she yelled, gave him his room fee back and told him to get the hell out.
