I've now joined the ranks. It amazes me what desperation throws money at
Cuddleup is a total scam. I went for a supposedly top-rated "verified" user and she asked for a deposit upfront before she would confirm an appointment. Then she claimed it didn't work and wanted a second one and keeps asking for more money under different cards. I said since I sent the scan of the Gift Card and the authorization proof, I would like her to call me with a "*67" to block her caller ID, and she keeps on coming up with more and more creative excuses why I should send her more money without knowing she isn't some guy in an internet cafe in Lagos.
Yes, it is a scam of the highest order.
I chatted with a total of 6 all demanding Apple Gift Cards in advance, refusing to call so I could hear their voices, and half of them had very similar scripts, and when I said I wouldn't without a phonecall to hear their voice first, 3 told me to F-off. One of those who wanted the gift cards and told me to F-off said we would meet at 120 Bremner Blvd, Suite 800, which I searched right away and turned out to be a Insurance Office, for a building that is closed on Sundays.
I was an idiot once, and learned my lesson, but I wonder particularly with the three with very similar scripts if they aren't mostly in some cafe in Nigeria.
If 6 out of 6 including 2 "verified" users all push for Apple Gift Cards, you know that most if not all of the "cuddlers" are scams.
I would avoid that site like the plague.
