Thanks for all the valuable suggestions and inputs. The seniors make this forum a great place to be at and learn! I may just be older than some of you, but am a willing student
We made our way to Mayur, at around 6:30. It was absolutely empty, with just one aunty types sitting at one of the tables. I asked the guy at the door where the gals were, and was told than they're just getting ready. We sat at the table, ordered a quarter of vodka and tried to get comfortable. The women, barring 2-3, were nothing special to look at. Of course, we had nothing to compare them with. Mayur didn't work so well for us - you'll find out why below (it's hilarious). Bottom line, we couldn't approach the gals. So, no action.
We then went to Kishore. But, it's a congested area, and looked much smaller especially after having seen Mayur. So, we decided to skip it. And someone suggested Kapal near Satra Plaza.
Reached Kapal around 8. And, aarti started almost as soon as we got there. Gals in Kapal are young and slim. A couple of them were definitely hot. One of us made the mistake of asking the black coat right away, if the gals could be taken out. He immediately said that's not possible; can only dance here. Of course, this being our first visit, we needed to work through the trust barrier. So, it was a silly move on our part. Again, had a quarter of vodka and left.
My first step in the SB arena was hesitant. And, I learnt a few things today.
- This is not a club- So, no point in going as a group. There were 4 of us who walked in together. The door man was also surprised to see 4 guys walking in together (in our defense, clubs in Thailand were designed such that groups would be comfortable)
- Look around, and think before you act- 2 of the guys were very nervous. And, in a very silly move, all 4 of us sat at the same table. This gives the gals no opportunity to come over naturally. So, they just kept looking at us.
- Spend some money- Invite a gal over. Talk, get comfortable, have some light fun. I think it's important to show that you don't mind spending a little.
- Tip, and tip well- Thanks to the seniors for this suggestion. While exiting, I made it a point to tip everyone. At least, they'll remember me for the next time I go in (and, I will be alone!)
That's it folks! Spent a little money today, but learnt a lot. Till next time!
