Hello Guys was not in the action from few days because i was too busy with my work.

Landed in mumbai 2 days back.

Please if anybody can confirm if bar are open today
I mean no dry day as i read somewhere its good friday and ambedkar jayanti so it will be dry day today

I went to Neelam yesterday at Sanpada.
When I ordered for change, it appeared like the notes of 20s are less.
I asked the manager abt it and he showed signs by hand indicating that 40% has been cut, though i am not sure if i understood it right.

so my question here is :
how much do they cut if u ask for a change ?
can i skip giving tips to manager and waiter cos they have already taken a cut ?
what options do i have so as not to take this cut hit, bcoz obviously i wud have spent it on girl or drinks.

Best option is to get change from petrol pump before you hit the bar. But is difficult to get small change. You can get hundreds though.

Neelam is a SB/DB? If it's a SB, u can take a change from the counter while entering. Once u r seated & then ask for a change then they bound to deduct.

Incase of SB/OB they do deduct some percent, better to get change from pan shop/petrol pump etc.

This change deduction issue is a menace,mongers like us are facing eversince dance bars started.
Earlier they would cut 10%
Then about 10 yrs back,they hiked it to 20%
Now,it's between 30-40% depending upon the statute of joints.
They do it,as they deduct that percent from you beforehand,before reaching that money in chiks hands.
I have befriended a petrol pump guy who gives me change..he gives twenty notes,fifty notes..but I need to tell him in the morning that I need change in the evening..
I give him about 5% cut for that sum he is very very happy.He always sort notes before giving me bundles as the notes are almost crisp.
Now,there is a catch too..
When I take out bundles in some joints,they object..a few joints do object..
But then I quickly tell them to bring bill..then they sometimes allow me..
For that,before taking bundles out,I make sure I tip 50-50 to both the waiter n black coat of my table so I can go ahead with my splurging..
Thus I save around 2500 on my each visit,when I get change of 10k.from petrol pump guy.
Second way to get change is thru it bank but these bank tellers give only one two bundles and not more.
But if u hv contacts in bank,u can get whatever amount u want as change.

Always carry in an SB at least 4 notes of 50s, 1000 rs. In 100 notes, 100 rs worth 10s and 20s and rest 500 notes. I always keep this money separate even if im not going on that day. Comes handfull whenever need to go even on unplanned basis. Saves time to run for change and all.

indeed it is wastage of money. i am a occasional mongerer. I actually never knew that they deduct coz i obviously never counted the notes. It is only yesterday that it occured to me.

I think the best way for me to get around this would be to tip 100s directly to the girls. Rs.100 is easily available from banks too.

Some wise men on the forum said, refer to the earlier FRs before hitting a bar. I had written specifically about the deduction at Neelam.
Anyways, a lesson learned for u. Btw all of these bars do the same. The ones who don’t do it, they take the cut from the girls anyways. This was told to me by pinky at Neelam. So in a way if 2k is to be spent on a girl, regardless of the handshake mechanism, every stakeholder gets the dues

Just got information from sources

Yesterday icon was raided late night. It was due to presence of more number of girls than as per naukarnama. In fact deployment of new officers at the top, and to show their presence were the main reason behind it. In a day or two things will get normal.

Star city has been closed two days back due to some licence issues. Will be operating after getting it may be...

Star night was opened till 3.30 am yesterday... 4.30 am day before yesterday... So no issues,.. Yesterday they evacuated the girls 1 am after getting informed about icon raid, keeping only few girls at dias... But situation normalised after some time...

Will let you know incase further details..

I always preserve all the change I get from Vashi roll naka seperately so that I don’t face this issue in DB. Guys toll naka is good source of change. Even if ur traveling by Uber or Ola pls ask driver if u can take the change he has and pay toll guys 500 & get change

One of my office colleagues takes out 2000 note everytime he passes Vashi toll.
He preserves change...he often asks for lesser denomination notes..
