Sure bro. Looking at the pics also helps these days.
In desperation for alcohol, I ended up buying shares of Alcohol companies, United Breweries ans United Spirits.

Couldn’t dare to buy ITC for cigarettes even though I am a smoker. The stock keeps falling for some reach which I fail to understand.

No such investment option I could think of related to the more important vice: lust for women.

Strange thing. Its been 2 weeks since I touched alcohol. Strangely enough I don't miss it. There is no urge or longing. Neither do I miss any Bar Balas, nor the seedy environs of a service bar. Now I am wondering if the mongering lifestyle was really an adopted, make-believe habit for me.
Only thing I miss is almost 10 din se Chicken nahin kahaya. Surmai, Ravas Paaplet ke sirf yaad aa rahi hai. Baaki no withdrawal effects.

How many of us are rich and wise? Just one example.

1) have made enough provisions considering our neighbours or few others might also need it?

2) your neighbour/ someone outside ur family has made provision for u so that u should not run out of provisions? (Ex: came and knocked on ur door to give u a pack of masks or hand sanitiser as the store was running out of it?)

My answer: I realised that I am poor.

Let me clarify. I am not preaching to think of others before self.


PS: just my take.

I am not sure if it was intentional, but your post summarizes the well documented theory of people state of mind in emergencies or panic situations. Fear zone, learning zone, growing zone and mature zone.. from stock piling to making provisions for others to realising it does not matter what we do!!

Since most of us (yes, including me, maybe old but haven't been through last emergency!!) are going through this for first time in life, it will be fear zone !! Not that I am proposing that we go through these curfew many times to grow into mature zone, but if you see some videos of ww11 veterans in YouTube and their take on this curfew, you know what mature zone be like !!

MP bhai, again issue comes back to population. Not only it’s difficult to give benefits to so many people in India, it’s also unmanageable. There is no way to know who got and who didn’t. Many will say they didn’t get (after getting), there will be frauds involved, etc.

Here IRS will handle everything. They have record of everyone’s social security and who pays taxes, etc. Based on that they will give.

Our PM had said out of 130 Crore people only 1.5 Crore people pay taxes. So the point is why should most enjoy the benefits? Besides this, there is no unique way of identifying everyone in India.

Many don’t have Aadhar. Many have duplicate aadhar. Benefits can’t be given based on Aadhar. It’s given based on if you paid last years taxes or not. If you are a good citizen or not.

So while good citizens who pay taxes have valid point in expecting benefits, it’s impossible and it’s due others. The other bhikari’s roaming around in the country who should just die.
