I agree with the good taste portion as on occasion this line has been crossed.
Regarding the other concerns such as the licensing department of the City and regulating associations I want to address this to clarify once and for all!
City departments do not sit there and surf the internet looking for rule breakers they would only investigate if there is a complaint and then its not like a city inspector can go in ask for a massage while on duty and hope to get offered a HE so he can bust them on maybe being in the wrong zone for their business class because the neighborhood is not zoned for adult businesses.
Massage regulatory bodies have approved RMT's who can direct bill who are actively involved in the adult business such as K-girl in Calgary and a certain tantric provider here in the YEG and I am sure there are many more!
What gets the places into trouble is the fact that they are using girls who are not allowed to give receipts giving receipts under a different RMT's name and number!
Students are not allowed to give receipts until they have their hours and that is why at many legit massage places the students they have working on their practicum are identified as students and they offer a discounted massage with no receipt!
The board is more worried about the fraudulent use of an RMT number and the fact that someone untrained could cause actual harm to a customer!
LE is not going to come busting into a business doing a TV style sting based on what they read on the internet! Why? Because a judge would laugh and say you need more proof than that before I issue a warrant for something that extreme! Don't forget its rich influential people who own these businesses behind the scenes in many cases.
Even if an undercover went into a parlour and was offered a HE do you really think the police would put that much effort and resources into raiding a place when no human trafficking or under age services are taking place?
What typically happens is they get a report/complaint probably from some guy with a stick up his but because he was offered a HE and an officer goes down and has a word with them telling the girls to not offer what they are offering. The place then hangs up the signs saying "no extras" and within a month things are back to normal.
LE focuses more on street level and underground sex trades and when the police do stings it is based out of a hotel room, not a house and not a business and its an offer that sounds to good to be true!
Regarding the effect this board has on their family and friends, well yeah that I could see being a problem but honestly it's hard to care.
Should I really protect the husband or boyfriend of an RMT that is bringing home 10k+ a month in cash and he doesn't think she is offering extras? Secondly the girls know what they are doing and obviously the money is more important then their family or they would stick to the standard massage like the majority of RMT's. They made the choice of money over honor not me.
I do understand when its about someone's safety but really that should be the only time.
So please no more about LE, regulators, etc
