Do women always like getting looked at?

I was at the doc few days ago there was a girl there, probably in her 20's. She was alright looking but she had a pair of denim shorts on and a pair of dark blue tights. She was sitting in front of me on the opposite isle and sat crossed legged. I was reading a magazine but kept trying to discreetly look at her legs and couldn't help thinking she could tell.
do most women like to be gawped at?

Now women can (possibly) confirm this but it is my understanding that most women hate getting looked at by the wrong guy.....(which is just about everyone). They do however LOVE getting gawked at by the right guy(s)......

See, this is one (of many) beefs about women: they'll dress like a peacock to attract attention to themselves then complain because they are getting attention.

As long as you are polite and discreet, and do so in a non-creepy way, (and don't look like quasi-moto... LOL), you will have no trouble what-so-ever noticing a woman's beauty. If she catches you, simply give her a simply smile as if to say, "OK, you busted me" and chances are she will give you one back... its almost involuntary.

Please tell me you do know that those industries are so women can look good compared to other women right? I do not know of ANY guy who would give a rat's ass if their SO was wearing orignal Prada or walmart knock offs....I do know a few who DO care about the label, but not to the point where they wouldn't date someone because she didn't wear designer duds.....

Obviously you're of the type they don't mind, I've been caught and gotten anything from "take a picture it lasts longer" comments to getting the finger to a glare that would melt the balls off a brass monkey......

Women love to be looked when it benefits them in terms of getting favourable treament. They also loved to checked out by guys that they think are hot. However, if you are ugly, like I am, women don't want you to stare. I don't care though, I stare anyways - f*ck them.

I merely implied that the fashion/ beauty/ salon business was thriving because women liked getting looked at? Who they are looking good for and compared to whom else, is immaterial.

As for designer labels, I dont' consider Kmart or Zellers "fashion".......Like walmart's "george" brand....who the fuck is george? He's probably the guy who was emptying the trash bins when they were choosing a name to put on the clothes. They were in a meeting in the boardroom and he comes in....The pres says: Hey what's your name? The guy answer, scusa me, my name isa george......lol.....

Actually the vein of the thread is: "Do women like getting looked at..." you were the one that said they are doing it to look good compared to other women... which again is immaterial... They DO like getting looked at which is why the fashion/ beauty/ salon business models are thriving... regardless of price point.

As for your Walmart/ Zellers/ Kmart, (hell we may as well throw Target in there as well) comments go, they are most certainly fashion. Fashion at a price point mind you, but still fashion. They go through great pains to get as close to the designer labels as possible without getting their lawyers excited of course.

2) YOU brought up the fashion industry and my comment was directed at that....
3) Fashion at a price. Ok, a potato sack can be said to be "fashion" as long as someone wears it.....
4) SOME women dress to attract the opposite sex but my statement still stands: the FASHION industry thrives because women dress in the latest fashion for each other, NOT their husbands, boyfriends or lovers.

Sorry, but when I worked in the corporate world, I never met ONE guy who would look at a woman and say: she'd be hot except her suit is SO last year.....or you know, her outfit would be perfect except for that knock off prada purse and doesn't it simply CLASH with her shoes?
