Ontario has 1/3 the deaths by percentage of population and we’re nowhere near done. Every time we loosen the restrictions the numbers go up.

Texas is pretty much done. Everything is wide open and their numbers are dropping every day.

I’d take the way Texas handled it any day of the week.

That being said, the Covid death rate in the US is still higher than Ontario.
.17% to .15%, even with having their vaccine production facilities in their own home. Lol.

I don't know where you guys are getting your figures from. Because what I have is the Texas population is at 29 mil, Ontario is at 15 mil. Slightly under double. Texas deaths total over double. 50,000 compared to 23,000 in Ontario.

So no matter how you slice it, American deaths are higher than Canada's. Again, even with higher vaccination rates than Canada, and with home grown production facilities.

Another point is that variants of the virus spike at varying rates across different regions of the world at varying times. Texas may be bragging about their rates being lower now, but wait until variants take over the southern US. It's going to be worse than before. If Texans think they're out of the woods now, there going to be surprised in the near future.
