I think it is funny because it appears that he was referring to Marc26' s post which was the one before his. Marc is a born in the USA, native American English speaker who was having a bad day typing, and also was trying to relate his conversation with his TGF in whcih she was speaking and he responding in what I can only describe as "BG English". Some mistakes are typographical errors, not errors in the English language, which he may have made because he was at work, and in a hurry. It appears that he was typing too fast, and had no time to proofread for errors. This compounded the effect of his BG's English and his responses which mimicked her "minimalist" version of the language.
I was able to figure out what he was saying, but I could easily see how the typos made it sound like he doesn't know how to speak English. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
As far as the many mistakes which are made by the Euro BMs, I rarely have trouble understanding the meaning they are trying to convey. Sometimes it is a little harder when the writer is Arab or Asian to understand because their language is so much more different from English than Euro languages, and therefore sometimes the mistakes are great enough to occasionally baffle me.
Having said that, I appreciate the effort that you guys make to speak my language and feel privileged that I don't have to struggle with Dutch, Swedish, Arabic, Hindu, Slovak, Malaysian, Japanese or Swahili!! Keep it up guys. You'll only get better. Practice makes perfect! Thanks for your efforts.
