draping ethics in seeking a new massage therapist

All the post that I read all make valid points. I allow my clients to choose to drape or not. As for me if I go to my friend in Indiana I don't drape because she does a lomi lomi style and it just falls off with all the movement. If I see my friend by the house I do drape because we keep the room cooler so we are not sweating giving one. I also agree with all the trolls, extras and happy endings out there that a first time client should have to drape no matter what.

I also practice Lomi Lomi massage and know that there are several ways of draping where the drape (yes, even the 'diaper' drape) will NOT fall off if placed appropriately. I have done Lomi Lomi massages on every body type (from tiny petite to average to voluptuous to extremely large builds) without the drape falling off.

It also depends on what you are draping with - if you drape with a bath sheet sized towel where the weight of it will pull the draping off you may have problems, use appropriate draping with appropriate material and it easily stays in place, unless you are either lifting the client off the table, or turning them over - I think any style of massage where the therapist is turning the client over is a challenge for draping during the turn, but I'm not sure how many practitioners actually turn the client - I take the easy way out and ask the client to turn over.
