I have the exact same question. i actually have more questions than answers. i dont know why the insurance would report it to the employer. why would it be any of their business? so what if i went to a mp that the insurance co didn't accept. if they do report it would the benefits administrator cause problems for the employee?
I have 2 receipts with the rmt # on it. i guess i could check the public register of CMTO
https://www.cmto.com/find-a-registered-massage-therapist/ and see the RMTs status. that's a start. if all clear then i suppose itcan be submitted. i could claim ignorance and say i didnt know the mp offered such services or that i ever received such services. also maybe keep going until i get a first warning at which point i could stop.
Dunno anyone have any negative experience with insurance co or employer to share? it would be helpful.
