I find that grounding myself is the key for me. I also like silence and to close my eyes too when I can. When I ground myself I know it is working when I get a short of tingle through my body. I always remember to separate myself from the client after the session. I was taught that in my Polarity Classes and always do it. The grounding makes a huge difference and the clients always feel very relaxed and love the massage. As an "aside" to this I was in a class where we went over TCM over a period of a few days. One of the things we did was grounding and then a sort of test called"unbendable arm". It was so amazing. When you were grounded your partner could not bend your arm and when you were not you arm went down like a feather. We tried this with all different people in class, tall, short, strong, delicate your name it, and it worked everytime. This just shows how powerful "grounding" is and strong you become. I even tried "grounding" while riding on the back of my husband's Harley and I did not have to use all of my leg muscles till they ached to hold myself down in the event of bumps. I just held my abdominals and grounded myself. I did not move at all.Regards,Barbara
