Im saying there are MPA's actually in Law School, Med School, and many other trades/practices. Its not exactly cheep these days. And I know many that stuck with it as they started getting their careers off the ground, have since retired and are now working in their desired fields. What is so hard to believe about that? We have laywers, doctors, etc as clients. Should we assume all of you are sleezy Johns? Nooooo. so why assume none of us have brains?

Everywhere I ever worked, the prices were set. Girls got canned for under or over charging. Period. If girls were quoting different prices, I would find that fishy as a customer.

As for your SALE theory...we arent talking about a microwave, we are talking about people!! NAKED PEOPLE! Sexual services!! Incase you havent thought this through, sexual activities are invasive for females and external for males...hence the penis and vagina...regardless of mileage you are saying a woman should discount herself! I dont care how you spin it, it just isnt the same as Scratch and Save day at the Bay!

And there is a level of training and expertise that goes into this business just like any other trade. I've spent years learing what I know. Saying you are in a similar boat is simply not true. I dont feel rejected personally when someone haggles, I simply tell them that maybe this isnt the place for you and maybe you should leave and find somewhere in your price range.

I agree with you that guys who aren't willing/able to dish out money for a higher end MP/escort/whatever it may be, should look for 'value pricing' elsewhere. However, as a consumer, I think they have the right to ask if they want. Just reject them. No problem there. As for some of the girls who may not be making as much money because of the economic conditions that we're faced with, if they want to lower their prices, it is their perogative as well. It's all supply/demand. For the record, I never negotiate on anything like this because I wouldn't feel right. However, if I was offerred a discount I'd take it and tip more.

Another take on how lowering prices could negatively affect the industry as a whole:

You would very-likely see a mass-exodus of quality attendants. Regardless of the industry-standard rates, I would not do what I do without being compensated enough to make it worthwhile for me to do what I do.

I know some bartenders and waitresses that make pretty-close to what I make now at the going-rate.

I've heard stories about the "Glory-Days" of massage. A time when there was a constant stream of clients. In/out in/out. Girls kept their clothes on, gave a quick massage and a Hj, got 'em in and 'out. The rates were cheap but the services were far-more restrictive. The attendants made insane money. But these days were prior to NR and BS hitting the market. The rules changed and the market followed-suit only because the additional wear and tear on the providers' bodies and minds was compensated to a level at which they were comfortable.

Additionally, by lowering our prices we would have to see X-times more clients to make up the difference. That's bad for the attendant and bad for the customer.

The rates are set at every A and B-level spa. The only reason why rates are not always posted is a matter of different bylaw restrictions in each region. It's not an open-invitation to haggle.

Would be nice to see owners of MP's drop their door fee to $20 or $30...if only for the holiday season.

Ok, so its only Cosmo...not exactly the most reliable for news and financial facts...but its a simple point, that I have also stated in this thread...yes times change, markets change, etc...I have noticed certain clients are MIA lately. But all my bankers, brokers, realestate agents, and thelike are in more often than ever!! So, in fact, I have seen a slight shift. Im sure VISA can say the same.

I'll Im trying to say is discounts dont get you far. Neither does insulting a smart cookie SCC...And Disturbia isnt kissing ass, he just happens to know something about me and my business interests that shed HUGE light on my views in this thread.
