This is new info. I looked it up yesterday. In Frankfurt, in the downtown area, the cheapest, smallest car is USD $450 per month.

Then the very cheapest station wagon with a stick shift (Opel Astra) in downtown Frankfurt is USD $970 per MONTHS. But the Opel Astra is not even a camper! It is just rock hard a station wagon!

Additionally, in my experience, there are lots of problems with sleeping in your vehicle! What do you do when you're in a camper in the middle of the night, in a strange city? Safety is an issue here. Harrassment is also a factor! Cops all over the world cannot stand it, if you don't go to a hotel, and are doing something creative! They will wake you up! They have harrassed me countless times! Exceptions are rest stops in the summer, but then rest stops are outside, not inside, cities, and you will have to commute back and forth!

How about convenience? How pleasant is it going to be to sleep in a cramped camper? How pleasant is it going to be NOT to be able to clean up when you wake up in the morning? Even if they do include a space heater with your rental, if you keep it on, and if there's no 2nd battery, it is going to drain your battery! And then you won't be able to start the engine!

And, YOU won't be able to get started either! In the morning, your frozen joints and shivering body will sap your desire and/or energies faster and more thoroughly than any hooker ever can!

I suggest you find a 50 or 60 Euro hotel, and you will STILL save $50 per day!

Sorry for the negatives, but, after sleeping for 20 years exclusively in both hotels, motels, and vehicles, I'm just being realistic here.

Having read all the negative posts on this thread regarding the RLD, I arrived there this evening feeling quite nervous and expecting to be scammed, ripped off and thoroughly annoyed. What happened, I'm glad to say, was the exact opposite. Granted, there were a few annoying, bleach blonde hookers pulling at my arm, but on the whole, the RLD was a fun place to be. Having scoped the place out I went to Crazy Sexy Girls, a place I was warned off on this thread. A word of warning, however, for the weak of heart... What's written on this board regarding the steps in the RLD brothels is absolutely true. I spent most of the evening catching my breath and saying to myself "this is a young man's game!"

Camper rental cost no more than a mid-size car. They all have space heaters. Cheapest hotels in FRA are about 50 Euros/night. Glad you liked the Palace but there are other even better places to be discovered all over Germany. The Oase is about only 20 KM away in the countryside and there are plenty of other venues within 2-3 hour drives north of FRA.

I was in FRA for FKK before. It was the sweetest memory that I had. Thinking about going again if I do not have to spend a lot on hotels. What is the camp van you talk about. Can I still use it if it is cold in early December. Given that there is only a few hours between 4-10 am that Palace actually closes, I wonder if you have any suggestions on options of expense cuts on hotels.

Good report, but you paid too much for sleeping alone in a hotel bed. There's an IBIS Hotel near the Palace for about half what you paid. Or rent a small camper van for a few euros more than a car and sleep right on the premises. Plenty of water works inside the clubs, right? And they feed you too. Some clubs have overnight accomodations for anywhere from 35 to 100 euros.

Good to read that one of you went to Susi and Juergen. This is not a FKK club where get professionals. Susi and Juergen are operating a swinger club visited mainly by private couples. So you can end up having great evening in the style of ancient Rome, but you can also end up just watching. As it was said it is definitly worth the experience. Don't show up too early - 10 p.m. is a good time. If you are nice and if you are able to find a couple that speaks English you will have good entertainment. Well, Atlantis was the best FKK in Germany but RIP.. Oase is very good also but, sometimes is hit or miss. The other day I went to OASE and found an Italian Girl named Maria and it was OK, but it was the best choice for the day, considering the others were slim picking...
