Its true many countries benefitted from US alliances. But it's an assumption on your part that Korea would have remained stagnate 3rd world. Societies and people evolve over time. Just like America evolved to what it is today. Perhaps Korea wouldn't have been rich as it is today without the USA but I can make an assumption as well that even without the US Korea would still be richer than any black country.
