Hard Skin

Hi all,

Can anyone help please? I've a client with hard skin in chest reflex toes 2-4. I've only everseen this on gymnasts/dancers my client is neither of these, so I'm a bit confused.

Is your client a cigarette smoker. Or has she/he had pneumonia/bronchitis/chronic chest infections.

Non smoker and no chest conditions disclosed at consultation, maybe long forgotten illnesses, I'll check back with my client.

Does the client wear high heels frequently? Could it be their shoes?

Is the hard skin on both feet? If they do smoke they could be damaging their lungs which may not be apparent at the moment. Any history of asthma? Are there any childhood illnesses, such as bronchitis, pneumonia. I would be interested to find out if they have absolutely no lung problems, as I nearly always find that hard skin on a reflex does relate to a physical weakness.

Hello All,

Just a quick update - didn't see my original client as she was snowed in.

However, worked at a pamper evening last night and treated a lady who also had an area of hard skin over her chest reflex (right foot). Prompted by your advise I found out she had been a light smoker approx 2 years ago.

Back in the summer I noticed that I had hard skin in the same area, I had been wearing flip flops rather than shoes, as I have a number sparkly pairs. Each pair had a small ridge which caused friction, as I walked miles in them.

But as soon as I stopped wearing them the skin improved and I havent had a problem there since.

Check out the clients footwear before thinking something else is showing.

right foot - Feeling: What you want in life
Zone 2: " " " " "
Zone 3: Doing/Agression
Zone 4: Relating /attachment to things

left foot - Feeling: Passion
Zone 2: Feeling/passion
Zone 3: Doing / creativity
Zone 4: Relating / attachment to people

Callous: Protection against the outside world or concealing and protecting the true emotions from the self.

Also right foot is to do with past and left foot to do with present. I have only just got this book so I am only learning, but I am finding it very interesting.
