Question Has Covid-19 curtailed or halted your massage visits?

You seem to be a very unhappy man. Perhaps your afraid of the tsunami that the scientists tell us is coming. Forget about blaming everyone else and let the experts do their jobs and try to get a handle on this. When I was a boy my father used to take us to his small community cemetery and without exception he made a point to stop at a family monument. He always pointed out the markers of a family of seven of all ages who were wiped out by the Spanish Flu in two days. The Spanish Flu came in repeated waves over a two year period. We haven't even ridden the first wave and people are already trying to wish it away.

The politicians should keep their mouths shut, listen, and make available whatever resources are needed so the scientists can start to make some headway. If they don't we will be back in a very short time asking significantly more future funding and burying a lot more of the world's citizens. Look at the traffic on our freeways during rush hours now. Imagine if this gets to phase two. I had hoped to be in Asia for a holiday now. I postponed my trip thinking perhaps I could go in September. Realistically I suspect we could be restricted from most international travel for another year.

I worked for a large international company in Edmonton. Last week about 100 of us were laid off reducing the workforce by about 70%. They had a similar number and percentage laid off in Calgary, and likely similar percentages across Canada and the US. My thoughts are that a lot of us were directly and indirectly exposed to the virus and our employer should have reacted sooner as due to the systemic proximate location of the workforce with each other it was practically impossible to ensure safe distancing of a primarily seniors workforce.

This guy gives a pretty good series of posts. He is much more credible than someone who hopes to bully his supporters by waving an imaginary wand wishing this done by Easter.

From the looks of it things may be shut down for a bit. Once they open I suspect it will be tough times for many of the ladies and massage establishments as money will be scarce between $5.00 a barrel oil and laid off people subsisting on government handouts. I suspect some of the independent service providers will try to continue working at their own ( and clients) risk as they probably will have limited help from the government.
Going to be tough times for all for a number of years.

I have read all the comments, and only one person bashed you. It was in response, to feeling like you were talking down to and insulting him.

So, he deleted his comment, apologised, and left M.P. You, on the other hand, keep throwing out your verbal insults...against people you say you are ignoring. But, as I have said of RMG: if you keep insulting, and talking about the ones you are ignoring....you are not actually ignoring them.

Just finished watching the video, A.J. Thanks for sharing it. Hopefully, Dr.Vaghn has a family friendly version, I can share with my kids and "religious" family on facebook. I found it interesting he used an illustration of how your lungs drown, if Covid gives you Acute Respiratory Syndrome. He says, "It's like when a pimp holds your head in the toilet. How long will you last, before you drown?" My guess is...he has a lot of "street" clientele.


Sorry, about your job loss. Our warehouse is full of food and supplies, only a minority of which is moving back and forth, out the door. We are set to throw out food, unless it can be given to the social agencies before it spoils. Right now, its close to, or at its Best Before date. We laid off two departments, which had around 30 people. (Most of those people, worked at our warehouse years longer there than I have. But, they had lesser skilled jobs)
Other departments are likely to be cut soon. A warehouse full of goods, doesn't do any good, if businesses can't afford their storage bills.

Hate seeing it, but the massage section of Kijiji has turned into a sale of massage beds....some new, but it looks like half of them are used. Bad sign for sure. (Or good for fresh face start ups)
Anyone ever look into, or thought of , picking up a massage chair? Don’t get me wrong, it’s not going to blow you but I bet the massage is not too bad.
My only experience with a chair was the one at Heidi’s. It was alright but I’m sure the new ones are allot better.
Anyone have intel on these?

Massage chairs are great, especially for shorter massages where you just need your upper body looked after. Some of the corporate massage ladies bring them to site. My favourite, however is a simple chair, no arms, in the massage room. For extra curricular activities with a therapist who gets equally motivated, they are the best. Not the sofa armchair deal.. they are useless. If a chair breaks in action, be a gent, at least offer to replace it

I own a massage chair, use it 3-4 times a year after the novelty wore off.
If you have a stiff spinal are or sore calfs it is ok. However lets face it these is a lot more to a real massage than just some rubbing...
