Has anyone booked reservations on the Cascadas website recently? I've tried a few times, but tells me I've entered information wrong. Can't seem to figure it out?

I've sessioned several times at La mansion, but never on my own, through an escort Service. Never had any trouble. maybe the deal is they try this BS figuring you'll pay. Fucking MExico - ever wonder why the country is so fucked up? This is a perfect example. So for $$ they will make sure no gringos ever go there again? Fucking brilliant.

It is owned by Spaniard's and not the Mafia. We use it all the time. They are now $24 for overnight on Sunday through Thursday.

Ikshnay on the La mansion. That place is a total rip off nowadays. ill state my reasons, even though i am a new member i have been going down since 92'
1. mansion makes up false alligations to extort money out of every john that goes down there, due to the fact that the mafia runs that pafrticular establishment
2. Last 2 times i was there they made up some bogus "Window error, Broken bed, e.t.c" and the fuckers got $100 extra dollars out of me.
3. Second time i was there i left early and they got my BUDDIE for $200!! something to the effect of a window painting and cracking, Total BULLSHIT!! He even called his mexican lawyer buddy and had him on the phone and negotiated down to $200!!! Then they threaten to call the cops, and we know where that usually goes!

So my advice is to never go to La Mansion, try to stay in the red zone. My fav is the Leyva near Chicago Club..

Have you all noticed that the internet room rates at Cascadas have gone up quite a bit? Used to be $35 everyday. Now it's $40 Sun.-Thur. and $50 Fri.-Sat.

I may have to start searching elsewhere. Rizo De Oro is nice, new, and clean, but only $5/15 cheaper. Cascadas access to the back Alley is worth the higher price. Does anyone have overnight recon on the Hotel Coahuila, Hotel Garcia, or the hotel above Chicago Club?

As much as I like the Cascadas, the price seems to be getting a little high for Tijuana. Also, the tile floor in the newly renovated rooms are the dirtiest floors I've ever experienced anywhere. Last time I tried to wipe down a narrow path between my bed and the bathroom, the brown towel turned totally black with dirt within the first 3 feet. Never NEVER take your socks off.

La Mansion $27 for overnight except on Friday and Saturdays. It is tailored to sex tourists. It is in Zona Rio.

FYI: Hotel La Mansion only charges $35 on Weekdays and it is 100% clean and very classy. It is tailor to tourists (not sex tourists) and only a short taxi cab away... it is located in a downtown district and has a view.... and yes, they let you take girls in....

If you want a good hotel, go to La Masion...

Thanks for the heads up brothers. I wasn't so much worried about the crossing as documentation to check into the hotel. Apparantly no ID is even required to check into Cascadas, Thanks to Dirtemail for putting my mind at ease as far as that goes.

No, but without a passport you are better off crossing between 11pm and 4am. The line to the right is for folks without the proper documents. From the right side you have one bus line, one sentri line, several regular lines for folks with documents and then the line for folks without the proper documents (often just a DL) The line without is quite short often, but moves real slow.

If you are crossing by car, there is no special line for folks without documents, but those lines tend to be real long.

There are 2 lines at the Border to get back to San Ysidro. One line for US Citizens with passports/passport cards and/or Mexican Citizens with proper clearance, and one line for US Citizens without passports. The line for passports looks 20-times longer, but will be 5-times quicker to get through. The reason is passports and passport cards have scannable identification verification and other US I.D.s do not. The US I.D. line verifies each persons I.D. the old fashion "checking all records" way. Each person takes 5-10 minutes where the Passport line takes each person like 10-seconds.

Also, a high perceneforum.xxxe of people trying to get through the I.D. line have suspicious records and they are withheld, cuffed, and escorted away. That process takes more time. You see it everytime you're crossing back.

If you don't have one already, I would recommend a Passport Card. Easy to carry and it only cost like $40-$60 if I recall.

Cascadas doesn't ask for ANY I.D. at all.

I just popped into Cascadas website, at the bottom of the website they have a quote "Don't forget to bring your US Passport" ... I haven't been to the border in a few years, but I have friends and family that cross from time to time, they all come back with there state issued ID. So my question is, brining your passport, is this truly nessecary?

I'm definately not a veteran in this venue, but I just got back from my 5th visit to the Zona Norte. Was on the TJ side when the border station overpass fell, so luckily I had already booked a room at the Cascadas. I was told that the rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors on the Alley side have been renovated. Their plan is to renovate the Alley side first then the Calle Coahuila side. This is because the Alley side is usually used for overnight reservations and the Calle Coahuila side is for HK short term users. I was in room 222 and definately heard construction work being performed above. Not sure about the jacuzzi rooms, but the renovated standard room was plenty good for me.

If anyone has advise for a TJ newbie like me, I'm definately interested. I'm already booked to be back there in December. Also, I can offer any advise and/or lessons learned from my limited 3-years of experiences if anyone is interested. If you want to know anything about Hawaii or the Far East, I've got 25-years of mongering there.

This is my advise on the Cascadas. Don't buy the $50 HK VIP Card. Reasons:
- 20% Cascadas room discount does not apply to the internet rate. You pay $32 when the standard internet rate is already $35.
- $25 HK coupon can only be used if the beer price is raised to $7, so you only get 3 beers for the coupon.
- Free border shuttle is the bouncer giving a cab driver $5, but the process takes 20-minutes to get approved. It's easier to just pay the $5.
- Late check-out not available as advertized with the VIP card.
- First drink free can already be had with the internet coupon, so no advaneforum.xxxe of using the VIP card.

Aside from that, I love the Cascadas. The Alley side entrance is very convenient for entertaining SG's. They are all happy to use the Cascadas since it's much cleaner than the $5 dumps they will take you to. Also, you don't have to worry about the 20-minute door knock.

Yeah. All the rooms on 1st, 2nd floor has been remodeled like new. and some of the rooms on the 3rd floor also remodeled. But I believe rooms on 4th, 5th, 6th floor has not been remodeled yet. Last time I stayed on 5th floor and It didn't improved. I am sure jacuzzi room also remodeled.

I have a friend that uses their hotel regularly for the jacuzzi suites, and he loves them. I have not stayed there in 10 years, but I do believe they have renovated some of their rooms.

Sorry guys, I haven't been around the forum for several months. Mongering has been on the back burner for me since last fall due to family issues.

Anyway, I'm going to be back out in SoCal in a month or two with my brother and would like to head to TJ and show him a good time. I'll try not to lose him this time (for those that know the story of our last TJ escapade several years ago).
My last few trips have included stays at the Tiquan, Nice hotel but a bit far from the action.
Last time my brother was with me I booked two jacuzzi rooms at the Cascadas. It was not much better than a shit hole back then. I had a SG in one of the HC's quickie rooms last time in TJ and it was the same as the previous overnight stay.

While checking out TJ for the upcoming trip I came across the Hotel Cascadas' web site and the pictured rooms look to be much improved.
Has the hotel revamped their rooms or are they just posting bait and switch pictures?

I'd like to book us back close to the action in an upscale room, but not back in the hole that was HC last time out.
