How Big is Patong Nightlife

A typical European response... Americans (in general) don't stray too far from the nest and usually have no idea what is going on in places as far away as SEA... I'm always pleasantly suprised when I see someone from the US doing research about their upcoming adventure. Americans can get the same (or similar) experience as in SEA by just going to Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, et. al....

Bottom line: No question is a bad question...

Hi Jont.......Just for kicks try and visit as many bars as you can on your first night.... If you get to 10 i be supprised....Im sure you spot a cutie very quickly
and that will be the end of the bar run....Head to mtb and Nicke will steer you in the right direction.

I guess sizewise you can compare it to Beale street in Memphis, or Broadway/2nd street in Nashville. But there's more bars and girls on Bangla.

Wow --- thanks everyone..If im American I guess all of my questions will be typically American.... sounds like it is not so long... I was under the impression that it was much longer until i found something called MAPJack which actually gives me a view of Bangla road off of a satellite and I can actually see the faces of the people on the streets.... MapJack (Beta) - Your City Online for anyone in the future... not sure what the rules are about naming this site... i have travelled a lot to Mexico can speak enough Spanish, learning Chinese as the main woman in my life is Taiwanese so to hear comments about race or countires really bothers me little have a great day

The problem with Mapjack is that the pics are taken in daylight.
Bangla Road looks completely different at night (especialy during high season!!).
Can't say that I have ever seen Bangla in real daylight before or at least don't remember!!!

I agree TM. Sometime I don't think Europeans appreciate the distances and distinct cultures within the US....For example the OPs home is in North Carolina - about 3,000km from Las Vegas. More than the distance from Amsterdam to The Azores......

if you want to talk to the girls have a drink meet some other people and have some conversation or just party 1 night is not enough to visit all the bars in any soi , u need at least 2 or 3 nights per soi.
let say u stay 15 minute in 1 bar , 1 drink then the next , u are pissed at the time u reach the end of the street and in 5 hours u did 20 bars, next day u start at the bar u were last and work u way back to the front of the street same story , so in 2 days u did 1 street it means u are pissed your whole holiday and there are stil bars left u haven't been.

Jont, Patong beach bar area is a relatively small area centred around Bangla Road where the nightlife is mostly concentrated. There are other bar areas within walking distance, although Bangla and Soi Eric would be good start off points.

Incidentally it is a bonus for you if you prefer the older bar girl 30 ish say, as I believe these girls will try extra harder to please you, they tend to get overlooked by the many younger, say 18 - 19 years old girls working the scene nowadays it seems. There`s no substitute for experience imho

Whatever you seek, ye shall find. Smile alot and you will have a great trip.
The hard part will be leaving to go back home :love3:

Plenty of 30+ girls but they all look lots younger so you might not pick their age.

bangla road is a good size, since you will always be able to find somthing you like , plenty of small bars with friendly girls.
walking street in pattaya is bigger and has more gogo bars , but also more pushy mamasans
