For those of you inclined to flame wars, just remember that you are impressing NOONE. 99% of the guys on this board could care less about your disagreements and name calling because we read and participate in these threads to acquire and share INTEL, not to read a transcript of immature, overly macho mongers flaming each other. PS- I think it would be difficult to say how long the girls last in the business because it must be assumed that many move around to other cities to ply their trade once they leave the Zona. Others retire from the life then pull a Brett Favre/Michael Jordan routine and return to the Zona within a couple of years. Some genuinely make the decision to retire, for one reason or another, and stick to it.

But, generally hookers are like pro athletes, they get a lot of mileage from their God given attributes but are considered "over the hill" and facing retirement by their early 30s- with some rare exceptions. TJ is unique in that working girls over age 30 are common even in the top clubs and the average working girl age is more like 25-28 years old as compared to the typical 19-24 year old lineups common to most other places in the world. Many TJ putas have worked in other "bush league" markets before making the move to TJ, which may explain the older age. Maybe Mexico has cornered the market on MILFs.

I do not have a problem. I am trying to inform anyone who cares to be informed about what is going on in TJ. No source of information is 100% reliable. Nothing personal, but I trust the San Diego Tribune more than mpnet. You can believe or disbelieve what you want. I am not advocating the safety of TJ as that would be contrary to all available credible information. I have also personally had negative experiences with the police in TJ which I have not emphasized in my recent postings-let's face it YMMV.

going back to the original purpose of this thread, I would like to point out that if we can get culero's mother, sisters, and gal cousins to retire, the average stay for zona hoes will quickly drop to about 4 and a half years IMHO!!!! I hope they dont do it though, how else is the poor guy supposed to get his extended sessions at a discount and all this "genuine" complements on his good looks. I don't have at hand the link right now, but remember some time ago, an article in the same newspaper (or other Cali print outlet) that firmly stated that a reporter had witnessed a TJ barker at an unnamed club informing him that minors were available by the bushel?

At that time we all agreed that the media is biased and totally against prostitution for 2 reasons:

Now I don't blame someone for believing those stories in instead of reading stuff from a bunch of mongers, but just because something is written in a study, or newspaper doesn't always mean it's accurate.

Now this study Kittyhawk below seems exceptional, and about 5 years is what I read in other places. But for every good study we find, we usually find at least 5 bad studies, like the latest one from UCSD, which by the way I talked to two of those people via Email, and one of the things they told me is there will never agree to another interview with the San Diego Tribune for some of the things they pulled!

Personally I don't believe anything out of the right-wing San Diego Tribune that enjoys slamming Mexico, and insists that prostitutes can't be called 'sex workers." I also am very leary of corporate media outlets that lie to us, take the Russia vs Georgia, our media tells us that Russia is the aggressor and stated the thing, when clearly other reports outside the US say Georgia started the fighting with a sneak attack on Ossetia during the Olympics.

Oh I read most of the reports that come out regarding kidnapping and gangland killings, but I take them with a grain of salt. I also know that newspapers like to sensationalize the hell out of the news.
