Imho, there is a serious opportunity for independent therapists who are reasonably attractive, disciplined, very client oriented and business minded to pull in about $30K a month, or $360K per year before expenses. This would mean that they are willing to extend YMMV special services on a case by case basis. And they might even get away by declaring only about $120K of that on their tax returns, and then applying expenses against it. I am not recommending this, just stating facts of what I know. This model will not work for those who want to own a massage shop, it's strictly for that rare independent who has brains, looks and discipline, and is a RMT.
