Mineral Oil (Massage Oil) it is not Food Grade. It is NOT edible. If you want something like that, you have to buy Food Grade oil. Coconut is the best because it is odourless and colourless. Any other oil like Soya Bean, Sunflower, Avocado etc are food grade BUT, they leave a colour on white spa towels. Towels will turn off white if they use these oils.

Coconut - you can buy the paste or better yet what is known as MCT which looks just like Mineral Oil - colourless, odourless etc. but 4X the price at the retail level

Avocado or grapeseed may not stain the bedsheet at the time of use but over a period of time, the oil will stay on the sheet and especially when in a hot dryer, the oil gets baked in. Hence white towels and bedsheets become off white.

She should use the MCT version which is not readily available but very similar to the light Mineral oil that Spas uses. Because of the process the coconut oil went through, it becomes light and do not solidify at all and so do not clog your pores. Most RMT knows where to get them.

Just to clarify, I do not own any SPA. I supply the Unscented Massage Oil to a well know Spa Distributor in the GTA. The wholesale price to them had increased by 30%. Just curious if any Spa owners are discussing this. I know that in the whole scheme of things, Oil is a VERY small part of the massage but it all adds it in the end.
Just like, for any Spa Owners renewing any lease, Base Rent had gone up 50% for this year.
My lease - due in October this year is projected to go up from $90,000 to S145,000 per year when I renew. And this is an Industrial Unit. Think of those zoned as Commercial like those on Yonge Street.
If this happens across the Board, I am sure the door fee would have to go up.

Spas have to use oil that is colourless and odourless.
Colourless - this will, as I said before not discolour the sheets and towels.
Odourless - self explanatory.
All vegetable oils except for Coconut oil are not colourless.
If you want to use coconut oil, buy the Fractionated Coconut oil or MCT. This, like I said earlier it is not a solid due to the chemical process that allows it to stay in liquid form.
We manufacture for one of our customer - Lover's Oil and Sex Oil that is selling very well in the US. They both use Fractionated Coconut Oil (MCT) as the base (carrier) oil with some Essential oils mixed with it.
