Like making sure the unit is WELL cleaned (though I'm sure it's cleaned anyway, but particularly for this time) and see if your husband can wash his feet and rinse them well at the site before the treatment, and use distilled water? I'm just curious if making sure everything is spotless and contaminant free as possible, if there would be any noticeable differences.
We would be willing, but the friend is not that close of a friend that we could just go in and tell her what to do or ask to change the protocol.
I just asked husband what type of water they use, and he says they use filtered (possibly reverse osmosis) water. He also said they use some sort of liner in the unit and throw it away when the session is done, if that helps your theory any. BTW, his visits to the clinic consist of him waking up, take shower, put on socks and shoes, drive into town, drop me at the office and then he travels directly to her office. So it's not like he's been sweating all day or something.
The clinic itself is a colonics clinic and is probably the most sanitary place I've been to in my life, other than when I was on surgical rotations. You can't even walk in with shoes. Shoes are left at the door and you wear surgical booties everywhere - discarding them when you leave. Her units of everything (ionic foot bath, colonics and infra-red sauna) are what I would call as close to immaculate as one could get. They work with MD's on a pretty large scale, with 14 referring, so they kind of pride themselves in being more serious than the next clinic about that kind of stuff.
Does that help answer any thoughts you were thinking?
