I will take your word for it. Like I said I did not scrutinize what happened (laziness on my part), I just know something did and he fell out of favor with mainstream journalism. I remember at a martial arts tournament when I was 27 and met a 36 year old and thought to myself what an old guy he was. You can probably find guys your age here to converse with, but not too many. And as for the blue pills and chit- chat that is way in your future. When I was your age I went from one girlfriend to another. I am glad I did not hobby back then - I would not have been able to enjoy normal women and I could have easily gotten addicted and been broke all the time. I did not hobby until my late fifties.

Take dancing lessons. In the beginner classes in Salsa you change partners every song. Eventually you meet someone you have chemistry with. I speak from experience. And if you every feel like being completely open about your hobbying past find the willpower to keep it to yourself, because it will be used against you later.

Good point there about starting when you're older and having enough money for it. People in their 20's should be focusing on saving for their retirement, not hobbying. It's not all about how much money you make, but how much time you spent saving and investing that money.

I worked with a guy who was married to a woman from the Philippines. It was from mail order, I guess. I don't remember exactly what he said. I saw her once when she visited the work place. She was really good looking, but the co-worker was, no disrespect, obese and ugly. His personality wasn't all that great either. Nobody was really fond of him. Maybe he was different at home, who knows? I don't want to divulge personal things, but he did tell me that sex with her was great. So, I was kinda surprised that mail order brides from the Philippines may work for some guys, after all. Especially for someone that was as fat and ugly as him.

Nah..nah...Old age has nothing to do. Injuries, yes. Some 80 yrs old Asian guys still practise martaial arts. Muscles are made to move. Use it or lose it. I used to spar quite a bit with my son. I stopped that at age 65 when he got me good on my ribs and broke 3 of them. My doc told me to stop since my bones are not as strong any more. So I just do regular stretching, sit ups, push ups and play golf almost every day carrying bag. I have a golf buddy who turned 85 last month. He still hits the balls longer than me and you will never ever guess he is 85. He still shoots in the high 70s and finished 3rd last month at City golf courses tournament. Age is just a number.
He is still working at Tam O'shanter as a starter , go see him if you have a chance. His name is Kenny and he is always so active and joking around all the time. I was playing with a Korean chic last week who plays from white tees. After he saw the lady hit, he yelled out at me Danny boy, this Korean lady's going to kick your ass. I shouted back at him knowing the Korean lady is only 3 months in Canada, couldn't speak any English.."If she kicks my ass, I will lick her ass"..he came out of his starter booth and laughing like crazy..lol

Was thinking of doing that too! It's no guarantee but I'll prolly look and search for a mail order bride maybe 10-15 years down the road or maybe not.

When I was 37 I had a severe knee injury that was not properly diagnosed. The doc used range of motion tests and concluded that I had a ruptured ACL. So I went through physiotherapy, returned to training and got injured again. At the time I had started a new job and I made a serious (and ambitious) commitment to it working long days and weekends to build up my skills and make myself valuable to the company. The time off from training allowed me to do more work, and this in turn led promotions, raises and bonuses. So in an ironic way getting injured was good for me. After living with a tricky knee I finally got an MRI and it showed damage to the MCL, meniscus and a completely severed ACL. So I had surgery and then no more problems for the next 20 years. I made the mistake of choosing a hamstring graft instead of a cadaver graft and I now need to have surgery again.
