jersey twin sheets?

Okay, all you Hanes jersey sheet fanatics, here's the deal direct from Hanes At Home, after five calls and three messages:

At this time there are no retailers who are selling the Hanes Jersey sheets, nor is Hanes willing to sell direct to the public any stock they may still have available. (pretty stupid, imho) t022

BUT I did recently order some test sets of 100% Egyptian cotton jersey sets from Wamsutta (through Amazon) and when they arrive I'll post how they stack up to my pickiness. Cut (squared or the annoying trapezoid top sheets Target and LNT are famous for), how they held up in the wash, how nice (or not) the hand is, etc. They were on sale for $15 each and I ordered enough that shipping was free.

Here's the deal: the Wamsutta sheets needed a couple washes to get all the sizing out, but using just dryer balls, no softener, they did come up to the level of coziness I want. They also were surprisingly wrinkle-resistant, although a wee bit thinner than the Hanes. However, this will be a plus for the gents who feel my previous jerseys were "just too hot".

The elastic on the fitted sheet (15" deep, fab for all of us with hyper-deluxe padding) goes all the way around the sheet. All the stiching stayed intact (unlike Target sheets) throughout the washing/drying process.

They did NOT shrink or loose shape. They remained perfectly rectangle and easy to fold. So I ordered four more sets.
