You're incorrect. The majority of Iranians in Canada identify as Persians and arrived here in the 80s following the Iranian revolution. The majority of them didn't identify as muslims prior to leaving Iran or abandoned their faith in disgust. Canada's Iranians are by and large very secular. Most of my Persian friends are uncut, and tend to mock the transition as being Jewish.
