Couldn't tell you. The ones I know who are married are friends of my wife. They are all still married and have been married longer than my wife and I have.

I will say this: from what I know of the sham marriages, if a girl gives you 40 grand to marry her for a Green Card, you ain't getting laid as part of the bargain.

If a girl takes a pinch and her visa has expired or her paperwork is bogus, ICE is notified and the girl runs the risk of being deported.

My girl took a pinch while her visa was good. We hadn't gotten married, yet and she was worried I'd be pissed so I didn't find put about it until we went to our immigration attorney and he told her to let me know about her predicament.

She told me and it didn't phase me at all. Cost of doing business. We got married shortly thereafter.

What we did have to do, however, was get her pardoned by the state in which she was arrested on a prostitution charge.

It took me months of talking and writing to the Board of Pardons and Paroles to get this done.

I got her pardoned and although the Immigration Adjudicator brought it up during our hearing, it didn't stop us from getting a Conditional Green Card on the spot.

Now, even though she has Permanent Resident status, we have to stop in the ICE office every time we come back from Korea so the ICE agents can bust her chops. They ask her if she's ever been arrested, she says, "Yes." and we're on our way.

Swap "citizenship" for "Unconditional Green Card" or "Unconditional Permanent Residency."

Many of the girls will become US citizens but once they do that, they forfeit their Korean citizenship. Korea, unlike the US, does not allow dual citizenship.

I have Unconditional Permanent Resident status in Korea but I will not become a Korean citizen and my wife will not become an American citizen. This would screw up our retirement plans.
