Amen! The attacks are unnecessary, disrespectful and boring! Warnings and experiences are good for us to know. If the worst doesn't happen, good. No matter what the law says or how we get ripped off or bumped off, I know I have choices and if the worst happens to me, I knew I was taking a chance. I wouldn't blame any of my problems on any advice given out here on these boards.

And I keep seeing posts about how corrupt the police are in Mexico, and I know there are instances of that happening. But it is not the norm. I've visited quite a few places in Mexico. There is lots of advice here on how to avoid the bad stuff from happening. That is what I've practiced in all the years of my carousing and I've never had a problem. If I did have some of the bad experiences I read about here, maybe I wouldn't go back either. But it's a choice we all have. And when we go to any foreign country, we are guests. They don't change their laws just for mongers. So, if I don't feel safe, I don't go. But mongering has its risks in any part of the world, including the U.S. It's all about personal choices.

But we don't need personal attacks out here on the boards. I read the posts and use what I want, and disregard the rest.

Since when mpnet is the law in Mexico? REGLAMENTO DEL BANDO DE POLICIA Y GOBIERNO PARA EL MUNICIPIO DE TIJUANA, BAJA CALIFORNIA is the law, read Art. 119, especially part about places private and public.

Mugroso, I can't right on the spot find the norm in Cd, Juarez, but the State of Chihuahua on their Penal Code site at

Mentions the punishment of acts related to prostitution and the sentences to be carried.
But I found at the Municipio de Juarez site the norms and rules for Massage Houses at

where they say that prostitution is prohibited at such places.
Of course we all know that it is never uphold, but the written norms clearly mentions the illegality of such profesion.
We are back to square one: prostitution is illegal, but tolerated, be it by bribes, or plain acceptance that it is a mean for the underprivilaged to get there money... a way to make a living.
That's what happens here in Monterrey every time they want to curve prostitution at the SCs or MPs, the goverment always faces the truth that they can not absorb the girls and place them in decent jobs, cause the "decent" jobs do not pay well at all.

Municipio regulations are not the Law.
Tell me what states norm prostitution and I can show you that their norms and regulations of that same state at the same time prohibit prostitution.

I have shown you written norms on the Municipio de Tijuana site proving that prostituion is fineable.
You have not shown anything, nada, zero... just a reference not Mexican Law, coming from an American civilian that dates way back into 1997.

Don't trust me. Like I said, do your own searching. The mpnet indicates the following:

18 of 32 Mexican states have ordinances regulating prostitution, generally limiting it from public places and only allowing it on private property with the property owner's consent. This includes Baja California Norte (TJ).

However, the girls are regulated. They are required to register and to carry an up to date health card (showing that they do not have AIDS or STDs). Gee, interesting to have criminals register for an illegal activity, cabron?

AmigoMio, you are so full of shit. Prostitution is not illegal in Mexico. Where do you get this shit. Only 18 of the 32 states even regulate prostitution at all. It is officially ignored, a polite way of saying legal. There is not one law in Mexico making it "illegal". why is that? It is constitutionally protected, cabron.

Laws for prostitution in Mexico are strict in claiming that having sex for unlawful carnal knowledge is illegal, BUT federal laws say that the municipios (= counties) have a first word on such illegal activity.
Being that, the municipios only consider prostitution as a minor administrative offense punishable to the person soliciting sex with a prostitute with a fine that will not go over 450-550 pesos (depends on the judge, the county, the Mexican state, et-al) .
So technicaly, prostitution is illigal, but punished only with a slap on the hands.

I was once caught for taking a lick right around the corner from the chicago club thinking it was dark and no one around, was I wrong, total cost 20 bucks covered the indecent exposure.

Yes, I have had one real run in with them. I had another time when I was searched at random on the street. The bad thing about is the polica can search you at random but, If your walking on the street they may question and search you. If your not carrying drugs or pissing in a corner don't worry about it. Although, If your driving you could just be pulled over for some stupid reason. Some ask for bribes others are straight! To me its not a worry and shouldn't be for anyone else. Hell, I would rather be pulled over by a TJ cop then by LA's finest.
