Local Dj's with a residence will be likely 6-8,000 tops per night. My friend used to get 4,000 Baht at QBar around 5 years ago.

more to do with what sort of crowd you pull.....Nakadia for example would get loads more than a relatively unknown falang DJ

i guess it almost impossible to guess what these guys make and what the clubs make off on them

last year we got a pruvate table at Skybar in Palms Hotel in LV and with that we were able to go down to the other club, Rain, and cut a line of 300 people to see Oakenfeld

When booking a top international DJ you usually go through an agent (DJ Sasha has his own company with many acts/DJ's) so add 15% for his fee.

You will be sent a DJ's rider (list of demands) usually about equipment, travel arrangements, drinks etc.

As you can imagine some of these DJ's are complete tools! However some requests sound crazy but you can understand why... Kenny Dope will send you minimum diameters for the DJ booth. He is a big guy, back in the 90's he was in the UK to play at club and basically the booth wasn't big enough for him to fit in so he couldn't play.

A few years ago Kenny Dope's fee for a weeknight $7500US, for a weekend...double.

Todd Terry was booked for Stereo Lab and the promoter was supposed to go collect him from the airport.

They somehow got his arrival time wrong so Todd Terry had to call from the airport for them to get him. Airport was empty by the time they arrived and Todd Terry was sat their on his own!

He was really pissed about it but next day was fine, all forgotten and turned out a real nice guy played an excellent set.

Junior Vasquez was renowned for being hard to work with and had many tantrums at clubs. Used to have his own security so no other DJ allowed in the booth at the same time.
