Marketing & bottled water: feedback please!

The bottle was full of water and I had just had a massage, so I would have felt awkward not taking it. That being said, after I had had a massage with this new person, about 4 or 5 days later I got a postcard saying thanks for being a client and hope to see you again. I thought that was pretty classy and I will probably go back. I prefer that over the water bottle.

I have clients refuse water all the time. They simply tell me "No thanks" or "I'll get it at home" or they tell me they have a bottle in the car. There's really no ackwardness about it.

When prospective members come in to our facility they have to fill out a paper with their home info on it. You'd be surprised how many people don't want to fill it out because they don't want us to send them stuff in the mail. For established clients sending a postcard would be quite nice. However in a public chair massage situation people may not want to sign in their home address and or phone number.

bottled water

I do not hand out bottles of water. I have a water cooler in my office and give them cups of water. That is what we did in school. I can fill my 5 gallon jugs myself for $2 each. It is much more economical. I am not fond of passing out something that is going in the trash soon after they are finished drinking it.
