I have clients refuse water all the time. They simply tell me "No thanks" or "I'll get it at home" or they tell me they have a bottle in the car. There's really no ackwardness about it.
When prospective members come in to our facility they have to fill out a paper with their home info on it. You'd be surprised how many people don't want to fill it out because they don't want us to send them stuff in the mail. For established clients sending a postcard would be quite nice. However in a public chair massage situation people may not want to sign in their home address and or phone number.
