If unsure best to bring some soy sauce and wasabi, after you eat sushi a few times you can eat it without them but at first you need it to mask the taste. Also some restaurants have fresher selection and after some tastings you know where to go for better quality menu. When you start it can be hit and miss. Very much worth the effort of sampling the choices in order to appreciate the finer quality than some establishments have. Just finished a fine order of โsweet shrimp/bearded clamโ at my favourite establishment. Will now enjoy some sake at home. Cheers
