Trying to get thread back on track...

Did a walk-in and was greeted by Ming, the only one available at that time. For those who don't know, she is tall, dressed very casually (runners, sweatpants, t-shirt), little to no make up, hair in a bun, 40-50ish. We were in the second room to the right, had the nice big shower which I liked; table was sturdy, surrounding was comfortable. Because I wasn't interested in an extras, I am really there to get my back worked on, I draped myself carefully. Upon arrival, the first thing she did was asking for permission to remove the drape, from that point on everything was undraped. The massage was adequate, there was a good mix of different techniques, some tui na style, some elbow/deep work. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good enough to remove all of the kinks in my back, I craved more deep work. The environment was loud, a lot of conversations out front, the machines (washing machine? furnace?) were noisy but I can generally get comfortable. The hour passed by quickly, which is good, that means I am craving more and she did a good job.

Would I repeat, may be not, I have experienced better at XP. If I do a walk-in and she is the only one available, would I run away? No, she is more than adequate.

Nothing extra requested or offered, thus I cannot comment. Generally speaking, I like the renovated XP, rooms are clean and comfortable, worth the small premium they are charging.

I’ve mostly enjoyed sessions with Ivy. Of course YMMV based on other people’s reviews. I like her overall package. Cute, petite, and slender, three of my favorite things. Is it the best massage ever? No, but I think it’s improving. While not the most chatty provider, her English is actually pretty good. One thing that definitely needs to improve is she stopped once after the finish with 10 mins remaining asking if I wanted a towel or shower. She needs to continue to full time or it’s a deal breaker for most of us. Hopefully she is a work in progress that will continue to improve.

Although it’s been a while since I last saw Ming, your review is inline with my last experience. Nothing to brag about. And perhaps explains why I haven’t seen her in a long time. And I don’t recall I probably saw her because I didn’t have another option.

I haven't had a massage from Ming since before COVID but one thing that was a mood killer was her thousand yard stare during the finish. Or was it just me...

Dumb question about XP, anyone with luck calling in or texting in for an appointment, I always just get the token "OK" or "hh:mm" as a response, never answers to questions about names, who is available, can I book an appointment with so&so etc etc. Is that the norm and we just have to walk in and take our chances or is it just the night receptionist that is a person of few English words. The "hh:mm" response is the most puzzling response, what does that even mean when the question is "who is available tonight?"

They are working on hiring a receptionist (they had one for a while who texted and spoke excellent English). But it is the luck of the draw who answers the phone as whomever is not busy answers the phone. And they all have differing English skills. I just know who I want to see and when I want to go and ask the person. If that time/person doesn't work I have to work through the language barrier.

Yep, XP gives very uneven responses by text. Phone, if fortunate a bit better. TT is better with appointments as Wendy is a better manager.

I get proper response with names and available time. Usually followed with when I want to come and for how long. After that it's single word responses like ok, good, welcome or thanks.

Never had that issue at either place. I always call, and can find out the next availability for who I am looking to see.

Texting hasn’t been an issue for me recently. Quick response if a certain SP was available, any room preference request, and how long I wanted. It was a little spotty in the past as others have indicated.

She is the very first girl there in the entire time I've been going to XP/TT to have a tip schedule and ask for specific amounts for specific things. Took me by surprise and honestly, ruined the vibe of the session - yes, somewhat an overreaction on my part, but made me realize how nice of a feature that is at XP/TT.

Extras fee schedule at XP/TT? That would crater the experience for me of going to either place. Not having to negociate, tip what you think is appropriate, keeps me coming back. That stress-free way of becoming....well....stress-free
