Thanks for the cutting edge research from mid-February's edition of Business Insider... I'm sure their scientists knew much more about it back then. Can't believe how much of the world is still stuck on this completely false 14 day quarantine idea five months later!
First of all I don't blame you for continually avoiding how spectacularly wrong you are about symptoms only beginning after 14 days, because I know it's embarrassing when you are telling everyone you are Mr. Science. It's even there in the article you are using to support yourself (e.g.
the median incubation period for all 1,099 cases examined was three days...)
Second of all there is an enormous difference between what is
possible and what is
probable. Since February upwards of 15 million people have been positively diagnosed so far... you're taking one single person who may have had a 19 day incubation, or one un peer-reviewed study that says that 24 days might be possible, and telling people 0.000001% is actually the norm, which makes complete sense since you very obviously want to scare the shit of out everyone, reality be damned.
Your own source casts doubt on the 24 day claim!!
the 24-day figure could have been based on inexact data. "These are largely patients who have been found through hospitalization," he said. "So we don't know how long they've had the virus based on when they went to hospital. We have to rely on their memory of when they were exposed, which may or may not be accurate.
Now I don't believe you are that stupid or scientifically illiterate enough not to know that because a handful of people in the entire world might have had a longer incubation period than 14 days that means you should start saying that the incubation period for
everyone is 14-24 days when it's actually 2-14 days for >99.99% of the cases. I believe you are totally aware you are cherry picking the most extreme examples on the planet you can find and trying to convince everyone that the worst possible case scenario is actually the standard outcome.
In truth I think you are fully aware that symptoms in almost every single case in the world are finished before 14 days, but it better suits your purposes to lie and tell people that's when symptoms only begin.
I find it deeply ironic that you have this righteous indignation about shilling, presumably because it is dishonest and you are so morally pure, and yet here you are on the same website lying to everyone like crazy with your completely misleading "science"...
