I've travelled by myself a few times and it can be a little daunting going out alone.
But when you go to MTB you are made to feel welcome time after time......and that is why I will continue to go back there.

You probably won't find anyone else in this forum less qualified than me to say much about the bars in Patong (I don't enjoy going to bars), but as I see it, that doesn't mean I can't also post what was intended as a compliment to Nicke and MTB, for his also creating this forum, which I'm pretty sure he did after he already owned the bar, not the other way 'round. When it comes to forums, I do know what's going on, and I appreciate what Nicke has done. That's all my above post was attempting to say.

MrDK doesn't even visit the place (well apart from a oncer to see whether it suited him...and it didn't)....He is a confirmed Pattaya man and is involved in helping out an orpahnage there to his credit

It's true that one of the things I was thinking of was the "orpahnage" (as you put it), and it's equally true that I didn't remember exactly where in Thailand this place was. So, you are correct that I should have left the word "Phuket" out of my comment. That's where I thought it was until you just corrected me. So, yes, I got it "wroing" again. I don't seem to have an exclusive here in getting things "wroing".
