Music with Lyrics

My favorite massage music with lyrics is Stephen Micus. The Garden of Mirrors is my fave, followed by To the Evening Child. I also like Life a lot, but it's not for your average client--there's alot of gong and--how do I describe it?--asian chanting in it. But so beautiful and it really creates a pictur in your mind's eye if you let it.

And I swear, if I ever hear Enya's sail away again, that's what will happen to the CD player! It will sail away through the window!

Blisss.......thanks so much for posting your list. I mainly use piano instumentals in my practice, but checked out itunes last night for Deva Premal.......WOW.......bought 2 albums and listened to both today. Hauntingly peaceful is how I would describe her music.

When I first started out, I worked for a company that owned the whole 4 story building. I would go to the lobby area of each floor on different days and do chair massage. All that was played every day....on every floor........week after week........was Enya. I stayed there a month. t119 I NEVER want to hear her music again.

What a great thread ! Since so many others have been
named I just want to add one I recently discovered from a
PBS special called Northern Lights, and that is Sissel. She is a Norwegian crossover singer who does some opera, pop, and Celtic type music. She sang at least one of the songs in the movie Titanic.

Sissel reminds me a bit of Enya, but not as etherial sounding, instead there is more body & richness to her voice. You can find her on Amazon, youtube, and on her website as well.

I have been working a lot with "Garden of Tiki" by TAU. It is a lot of soothing chanting not in English. I can listen to it over and over and not get tired of it either.
