Hiyas Cola, I can understand your reasoning & logic behind your statements, but I'm sorry, it is just creasing me up in laughter.

The comment about being Hit by aCold Fish, that reminds me of numerous times when I was younger, out fishing in the night & without a Landing Net, so when you get the fish almost to the bank, you have to quickly flip the fish out of the water. If your not careful, you get a faceful of wet cold fish, or eel. Somehow, I just can't imagine a Cold Wet Fish anything like a Cold Breast.

Believe me, when you are on the massage table all nice and relaxed and you get wacked by a droopy breast that is so cold relative to the hands, it is as good as getting hit by a cold wet fish - it ends the nice and relaxed feeling on the massage table just as quickly....

Feel free to laugh at it, I found it funny after the first time it happened. The first time it was just very confusing "what the ????? what was that cold thing?????" I even said something and the massage therapist had no idea what I was talking about, just muttered about it must be the energy moving. Once I realised what it was I thought it was hilarious that some people pay good money for that experience, though I suspect they usually don't want someone with breasts that resemble an orange in a football sock, so maybe the temperature differential compared to the hands is not so great.

Just for the record, I made the naturist yoga massage comment in jest, but I've received a seemingly serious PM from a HPer discussing this very modality, so apologies to all you yogic naturist massage junkies out there. A Naturist massage I understand. Naturist Yoga I can visualize. But Naturist Yoga massage has got me wondering !!!! Can anyone enlighten me!!!!! Does anyone actually offer this, I'll give anything a try once !!!

In the 'What do you charge' thread I notice that one post includes the prices they charge as:

Massage*- Table based massage using oils. Full draping used throughout treatment, however this is optional.

60mins £35
90mins £50

Naturist Massage* - Table based massage using oils in a naturist environment.
60mins £55
90mins £70

Can anyone explain how a naturist massage should cost £20 more?

Its sounds like another bad deal for the naturist - a little like beaches where the naturist gets the rocky beach at the end of a long long walk. Or the sauna session at the local pool on a Sunday evening when no one else wants it.

Four possible reasons for a premium price.

1] It is a different level of service that not everyone provides. Supply and demand perhaps.
2] Sad but true that prices need to be set at a level where people who opt for it GENUINELY want the experience, not just a "cheap thrill".
3] You need to have the room quite a bit warmer for both client and therapist's comfort = extra heating costs
4] Without towels clients get more massage for their money and less towel arranging. I reckon in my experience an hours conventional massage can be as little as 45 to 50 minutes actually bodywork.

I am sure there are many more reasons why it should be more expensive. I am not making any comment on the scale of the premium, again there are many factors that affect that decision. I simply believe that a premium is appropriate.

Since they were my prices that Jaez is talking about its only right I comment onto the pricing structure I have put in place.

Switch, thankyou for your reply and you have pretty much covered the exact reasoning. The Naturist Massage treatments is something that I only started offering in my practice fairly recently in the past few months and is something that has been very welcome by both exisiting and new clients.

This is very much my Premium service, I love working with undraped clients, the freedom of movement and flow it gives is fantastic. But now having experienced a Naturist Environment massage - I think they can allow for the most powerful connection and massage I have experienced. I conciously refer to them as a Naturist Environment massage, for my standard £35 treatment price clients are more then welcome to treated naked without any draping. So if a client just prefers an undraped massage then that is fine - they are more then welcome to have that at my standard rate.

Some of my previous clients now prefer a Naturist Environment massage. This offers much more then just a naked therapist, upon arrival clients are invited to undress before we begin the treatment consultation, they are offered a drink of their choice and a hot towel to freshen up with. We'll have a chat and discuss their desired outcome from the treatment. We then begin the treatment, once over the client is again offered a hot towel and drinks of their choice and some time to enjoy the treatment and in many cases the comfort of being naked with someone.

My clients have many reasons for choosing a Naturist Environment massage, and yes I do charge an extra £20 because I can. I want to make my massage business a full-time practice, and while I can earn money from it I will.

On the V-Flyer forum I am also a regular on (discussion of Virgin Atlantic) there are often comments about the prices of Premium Economy seats compared to Economy, they can be upto 5 times the cost of an Economy seat. You get some extra services but do they really justify the price difference? Maybe not, but the fact people are willing to pay that price for them is justification enough for the airline.

wouldnt go for it as it could easily led to other things as my ex and i used to massage each other as prelude to sex and i wonder if it is ingrained in my mind and my body would expect more? and then be disapointed? i wouldnt go anyway because embarrassed by my body and prob laugh due to nerves and i wouldnt know where to look! but always admire people who have the confidence to be naked without any problems .
