Need & Want to "Up my Game"

Pueppi's idea of a lending library for MT's struck a chord in my heart. I have longed to do this ever since we started preparing to build-out our office here. I dunno *why* I think *I* am qualified to host such a thing, nor do we currently have the space or funds to store/obtain such books/DVDs as I'd like to have in said library (and I don't at this point even know enough to know which ones would be good to have! This would be where y'all would come in, LOL!). Perhaps it's the "librarian in my blood" from my Mom. I've wanted to do something like this for herbal materials and homeschool resources, as well. I actually even went to far as to detail my ideas for my oldest daughter, whose help I would have employed, if such a thing were to happen. She thought it a good idea, and was ready to jump in right away, LOL! I think that having quality resources for learning readily available is so important.

Maybe in my next life, I'm supposed to be a librarian, LOL!

Maybe you could start a donation based library. Anyone who wanted to donate old videos, could send them to you and then you could mail out the library vids to those who were interested. You could keep track of themand such. There is a link to some places that do that in the Resources Section. I think the model of the person sending you a check for the cost of the vid and a payment for the mail rate might actually work. They return the check once the video comes back in. If you want me to look that protocol up for you, I can.

Just a thought. You could be the MassagePlanetL Video Lady.

I keep about 1/3 of my bodywork-related professional library in the break room at our massage center, and occasionally rotate some of them. Some of our MTs bring in their books as well. Others bring in trade publications to share. Some of us also lend each other videos. It's an informal honor-based system that has worked well for us so far.
