As mentioned before, every dollar invested early in life provides freedom later on. You don't need to have an inheritance or a trust fund. An ordinary job and ordinary income is fine. But the key is to invest a small percentage (10% is fine) every month starting when you are young. Invest in buying stocks of the best managed publicly traded companies. By the time you are in your 40's your career will be a hobby.. you will have the freedom to do what you want.. that includes enjoying your work and pleasure hobbies. Don't waste your funds early in life.

Ah, I really appreciate the clarification. When you mentioned "invest" before, I thought you meant it metaphorically. It's always been my plan to start investing early, but I've never been able to find the time to do the research before starting since I've been extremely busy with studies, work, and other extracurriculars. I was planning to wait until I secured my first full-time job with decent salary. That does sound really reassuring. Thank you.

Wise words from a (relatively) young man (coming from a not-so-wise man!)! My wife and I were always frugal with our money and she was able to be a "stay-at-home-mom" to raise our kids. We were lucky enough to receive a small inheritance in our 40's ($50,000) which kicked off our investment portfolio. We were able to retire early and not have any worries about money.

I'm happy to hear that everything went so nicely for you. I've always been interested in investing, but I've never really had the time to do my research before making an investment. I'm intrigued even more after reading about your experience, though. Thank you for sharing.

Maybe start with an etf - that way you don't have to do as much research

Thanks for the advice. I'm definitely giving heavy thought to this before I go for my first encounter, and I think as someone suggested, I'll start off with a simple sensual massage to see if that's enough to get it out of my system and get me kicked back into the normal dating world before I become addicted. I'll only use the few hundred I've set aside for hobbies (at most, one encounter per month) and never anymore. For now, I just feel like I want nothing to do with serious relationships for a while after my first two have failed, but I want to feel the touch of a woman.

My opinion, go see Emma and stop worrying about this so much. She will blow your mind and you will have a great memory whether or not you continue seeing providers occasionally.
