If I never post again after this post, please know that it means "they" read this and took care of me. I've already read this script:
Have a listen to the podcast "The Whistle Blower" (particularly episode 5? on game 6 of the Kings/Lakers in the early 2000s). He proves, quite convincingly that many games are "manipulated" (not outright rigged or fixed) to help a certain outcome. I saw an example of that yesterday when the Chiefs were driving and down 14-10 with a few minutes play. Maholmes tosses a very bad pass into the endzone and somehow the DB drops it! Then with score 17-14, the Atlanta kicker misses a FG attempt that is closer in distance than an extra point attempt. That would have sent the game into overtime. And, of course, who can forget the no call on a pass interference that would have given the Saints a Super Bowl appearance a few years ago.
Anyway, with that it mind, that games are manipulated, here are my picks with a brief explanation of why the NFL want to manipulate this outcome.
AFC
1. Buffalo 39 Kansas City 35
*the NFL needs a story here in '20-21. That story would be a small market BIlls team that has not been anywhere near a legitimate playoff run since the 90s. And KC already ended their drought last year. Yes, they will win or appear in a few more, but not this yer.
NFC
I would like to offer more analysis here. Here is the ENTIRE breakdown:
LA Rams 16 at New Orleans 28 (this is the NFL's apology to the Saints)
Dallas 30 at Tampa Bay 27 (no manipulation here....Dallas is peaking at the right time)
Arizona 7 at Seattle 30 (again, no manipulation here...this is part of Kyler Murray's education)
2nd Round:
Dallas 3 at Green Bay 35 (again, no manipulation needed; a rested GB team is any team's worst nightmare)
Seattle 23 at New Orleans 24 (this WILL BE MANIPULATED...the NFL will gift the Saints a conference final before letting the best team win...in reality, the Seahawks would win this match)
Saints 30 at Green Bay 33 in OT
NFC Championship: this will be one of the greatest MANIPULATED games ever played. It will be the game of missed extra points. The Pack will jump out in front early (13-0), then somehow find themselves down by 21-13 late in the third quarter...they will score 6, fail to convert on two, and enter the 4th down 21-19...Saints will score a TD in 4th, then, down by 8, the PACK will score on their final possession AND convert on 2, sending the game into OT at 27-27. The game will go into OT, Saints will have goal to go on their first possession, have to settle to for a FG, only to see GB - on a must score TD possession - do just that and win the game 33-30.
Super Bowl:
Green Bay 38 Buffalo 7
We have not seen a blow out Super Bowl in many years. The last one was probably Seattle over Denver. This one will be very high scoring in the first quarter with each team scoring touchdowns and GB up 14-7. Then, very boring the rest of the way. 28-7 at half; 35-7 after the 3rd, and 38-7 final.
Gamblers, you are welcome. I have already made 14K this season (including $1,400 on yesterday's combined Dallas win - although I only took them to cover at +3 - the Seattle win, and the Dallas OVER, which somehow happened on Dallas's last offensive play of the game.
If you are gambler, here are your GUARANTEED to happen picks in this year's playoffs:
1. A Buffalo/KC OVER
2. Dallas to cover against Tampa
3. Kansas City UNDER in their first playoff game (yes, you read that right...the offense will be bailed out by their D)
Any more picks? Just message me.
