Just a very quick post to say that I completely agree with Candie. When I first started to read this thread I was pleased and excited that a leading womens magazine had run an article about reflexology. I was doubly pleased to learn that the article featured reflexology and infertility as this is a special interest of mine. My heart sank when I realized that the reflexologist featured in the article was claiming to be 'The Baby Maker'. I put it down to the media. I was absolutely amazed to discover that no, it wasn't the media; this therapist has a website on which she claims to be 'The Baby Maker' - This is not good, not good at all. I have worked with ladies who are trying to concieve; I know just how vulnerable and desperate they can feel. It's wrong to market yourself in this way - and I agree with Candie - saying that this is 'her destiny' is no justification at all and is proof that both the web-site designer and the therapist in question are both missing the point completey.
Reflexology helps people - it helps to rebalance body systems which may be out of balance - this may help some people to fall pregnant. We as therapists have absolutely no right to claim that we can 'make babies'.
