Pattaya bar/go go recommendations & rip offs
On LK Metro, the turn around story for my last visit was Submarine. Smallish place. Totally sucked last time. Still smallish, but now the atmosphere is fun and they have lots of decent gals to choose from. Had a really great time both nights I popped in there for a few beers. Both times I ended up leaving with someone, as did someone else in our group.
Champagne is still good.
The Office is always a little 'less good' than Champagne for me, but I know others that feel the opposite. I've never bf'd anyone from Office, though I will admit I have seen cute ones there.
MASH is trying hard and they're doing OK. I'd say its a must do stop if you're hanging around LK Metro for the night.
Club Blu, the coyote place on the corner, was pretty dead. Not sure what happened, as it used to be packed with girls. Might've had to do with Sugar Sugar opening.
Sugar Sugar is a new hybrid between a coyote and a gogo. Coyote dancers most of the time, with "sexy shows" featuring some nudity every so often. The furnishings & decorations are top notch. However, it just opened and there's a lot of folks complaining about a lot of things there... from changing drink prices (90 baht for the first beer, 120 baht later for the same beer) to general confusion and poor service (very long wait times for a drink- or forgotten order, which happened to me). Only some girls go with customers, but they only identify themselves after a few LD's. It's probably worth a visit, but it's new and they're working through the bugs it seems.
I tried Kiss agogo. Twice. I do not have a positive opinion of the place.
And as always, there's Oasis up around the corner. There are some decent gals there, but a few extremely suspicious looking ones... as in, very tall, large hands, adams apple to rival Ichibod Crane... but the plumbing is correct. I strongly suspect post-op. I asked two different serving girls, but neither would confirm my perceptions. I hear it's impolite to actually tell when someone's an LB in a club or bar. Not sure why, but personally I'd rather know even if it's post op.
