Relax,
I definately know a lot more about rental agreements now than I did when I signed it. I don't have any repocussions against what she did - I do think I own my client files though, thru HIPAA wordage. This was not spelled out in the rental agreement, but since it was that, a RENTAL AGREEMENT, not a contract for employment/contractor/whatever, and I was *technically* supposed to just be renting a room in a building and not be part of her business, I THINK my clients are MY clients - not hers, since I did my own marketing and also paid my share of the marketing she did. I'm talking to some law friends of mine, just to be sure.
Rose,
Thanks for the sympathy! I told you guys this woman was messed up!!! She is very two faced - telling me one thing (or not listening at all) and doing something completely different. Turning paying clients away was the last straw during the slow time - I PAID for the advertising to bring that person in, DAMMIT!!!! The evil emoticon almost looks like her, LOL!
I'll keep you guys posted on the space. I hope I can afford the renovations, because I really don't want to move again!
