If we are talking paying more than the PRICE of a service, I agree.
If we are talking "TIPPing" i disagree.
A TIP is what you pay over and above the cost or price of service, for service ABOVE & BEYOND what is expected.
Using that same logic, I hate tips because if I bought something, IE PAID for it, (a meal for example) of course you have to bring it to me so why should I tip someone for fetching me what I am paying for. Maybe they are underpaid but that is their employers fault, not mine.
I never did get it. You and I go for dinner, you order a $30 steak and I order a $10 burger (not a feather and a brick but approx same effort to carry both).
Why do you pay a $6 tip and me, a $2 tip? What more did the server do for you than he/she did for me?
In fact what did they do at all, except merely bring us what we are paying for?????
