The first place we went was large and certainly had lots of Christmas tree lights....and it wasnt even Christmas ...555
The second two had blackened glass, and lots of photos of the singers in glass cases on the walls outside.

Ahh but they are PT isnt really daunting in itself, tho it helps to have a group and not be a lone farang which is easy in Patong or other tourist bits.. But its the P4P areas of town that are shady..

I think those are the kinds of places I was trying to describe in the more 'out of town' kinds of places. 3-4 in the morning, your big Mercs pulling away. Some top totty floating around and I mean....Gorgeous girls.

Who does use them if local Thai's don't? Or can I hazard a guess? All the more reason I wouldn't contemplate walking through the door, tooled up or not.

Most of the ones in Patong probably see more Farang customers than Thai I am guessing.

Try the klong side alley between Soi Tan and Nanai after dark.. Those tin shack karaokes over the klong are mostly burmese and deffo dont get too many whitey customers.

Mai Chob, from the sound of it the few places you went to definitely rate in the "not the average Thai" would go to category. But still fun none the less!! So long as you live to tell the tale!!

There are plenty of places with girls that I think are Farang safe so to speak in Phuket town. I'm sure some of you know these places. Bossy just further down the road from Royal Phuket City Hotel in town for example is a nice bar with pretty girls and a good Thai band. I don't think any of you would feel awkward if you go with a few friends. A new place in Town close to Merlin hotel called Duzz is also nice and again with good lookers in skimpy outfits!! I say try out some of these places for a night out with a few friends and I'm sure you'll enjoy yourselves. Places in town compared to Patong are not as in your face when it comes to P4P but it's all there. Just have to be a bit more discreet and respectful.

Like I said, good write up, not for me.

Just imagining me and the lads in the past (The ones with the Doc Martens, kind of short-ish hair, Crombie Coat and few tats!) propping up the bar in the 'Wellington' on 'Trafalgar' Street, just off 'Drake' Road having a few scoops and eyeing up the local talent in the tap room when in walks......We'll....You name it! 10 German backpackers, 10 Aussie Students, 10 Iranian Rocket Scientists or 10 Bangledeshi Dentists or whatever piled in and start splashing the cash, pawing the talent and intimating not to start something as "We've brought a mate with a gun"

I like a ruck with the rest of 'em but I'm getting a bit long in the tooth these days. I'll stick to sedate little Kamalalala (I've had a couple of knocks here too! 55555) or risk a trip over the hill now and again. damaz, I've been to Blue Marina before but haven't been there for quite some time now. It's usually packed on weekends with young Thais and usually there are a few tables of Farangs everytime I'm there. Good bands as well.

Timber Hut which has been around for about 20 years is also good and Farangs don't need to worry here as it's full of them and mix of older Thai crowd.

For places with Coyotes dancing then head to Bossy which is close to Royal Phuket City Hotel or DuzZ which is just a bit up the main intersection of Merlin Hotel (Blue Marina) towards Rung Hill and it's on your right had side. It's a house converted to a club but from the outside it still looks like a house.

I dont see any need for concern in 'normal' PT places.. But theres deffo some late night P4P fairly light joints were your not going to be welcome by the other customers.. Hell theres places in Tong like that..

Maybe it's high time I got myself one of those 7 feet tall Russkies as well!!

Duzz is not bad, it looks small from the outside but it's decent inside. It's not Seduction big but kinda split into two zones where the seating area is in one zone and the other is the seforum.xxxe, dance floor, bar tables and chairs and the seforum.xxxe for the band. Haven't been in about a month or so but the last time I was there the girls were pretty.

I also agree with the not get drunk and act like an as$ idea. I think that behaviour is just asking for a beating not just in Phuket but anywhere in the world!! I think throwing money around isn't that bad either so long as you're not overly loud and obnoxious about it. Obviously the girls love you for that and you'll feel like a king surrounded by these smooth, skinny and scantily clad women.
