Police closed Bangla at 02 am tonight

Alot of my locals have a lock down at 2am....

Meaning if you are outside any hotel after 2 you are not back in......

Thus creating alot of trouble aroung cab ranks......

tho heading into the city where everything is 24hrs you dont get as much trouble as people leave as they please...

Just my two cents......

Last time I was in Patong we were home by 2-3 am...

Is there many places that are open later though?????

There's a lot of "freedoms" we'd like to have but unfortunately there are also rules and regulations which are in place and "at times" are enforced.

Whether we prefer afternoons/evenings/nights....or early mornings , someone is always going to be upset. I don't feel that closing everything down at the same time is boring , but I do feel it is stupid.Turning everyone out on to the street at the same time is just asking for trouble , as normally people just "filter" out when they have had enough.

I know previously a lot of late opening was ignored but when it becomes "in your face" (due to more places/later times) then I think it attracts too much attention , and results in "clamp downs".

I didnt see any police but I know Eric agreed with police to close 02 during the Asean meeting.

All bar owners were informed before the 17th that 2am closing would be enforced until the 24th during the Asean Summit meeting...regular hours would resume after this date.

Those wishing to imbibe after hours there is a nightspot up on the hill open to early morning, just ask the tuk tuks.......
