I'm not sure whether it's racism or not. Koreans are actually one of the most racist people left in the world -- almost every one I know (both here and travel to Korea a lot) will express their feeling about a hierarchy of races. However, I'm surprised they just say "Asian" because Koreans generally consider Chinese very low on the race ladder.
I think it must not be racism then, but rather the point made earlier about how most Koreans think STDs are only carried by white and black people. In Seoul there are very many brothels that will not allow white or black clients. So it is discrimination, but not quite the kind of racism you think -- it is more of an ignorance. To summarize, Koreans are generally racist but think highly of white people except they think white people are much more risky for STDs. Koreans don't think much of black people though.
