I menat to say "we talking about..." not "taling about.." typing to fast cause I was i little pissed at you, but never mind... I can forgive your insolence.......

Yes...... November is when the season starts peaking, but August is when the flow of tourists start increasing..... hence high season... not based on the actual season, but the number of tourists arriving.....

Some people try to miss the "Xmas Rush" and come a little earlier, and then leave before the main influx start.

I am in partnership with a Thai person, as all farang have to be, and the Thai partner is quite experienced in our line of business...... this is the common understanding among some of the business owners I have met..... Thai and farang......

So sure, November is the start of the extreme influx...... but high season is considered to start during August.....

So that's cleared up from my side....

Oh by the way guys.... to all the nice comment from everybody.... I agree with the statement about high season being from November to March... this is seasonally the best time because the weather's not so hot, and the girls are............. but according to the other business owner high season for cash starts middle August.......... The season hasn't peak at the "high" season mark, and the prices are lower than "high" season, but business starts coming in really steadily and increased from the preceeding rainy month, hence for business; the start of high season.
Sorry, didn't know we gonna nit-pick this one......... anyway, do you want to wait for "high" season to pay the elevated costs, or are you gonna be clever and come a little sooner?
Then when everybody has bitten........ and start arriving in November the prices sky-rockets........ but you can still negotiate a cheaper deal..

Everything is negotiable in Thailand.....

I think August has a little blip of extra tourists due to the European holiday season, but then Sept and Oct are quietish again until the influx in Nov, Dec, Jan.

I am afraid you are the only person I have ever heard say that High season starts in August. For commercial reasons I wouldn't bank on it... ask all the expats on this board.

august is "high season"???????????????? since when? I'll be there in a few days and the reason I go now is because its LOW season.mmmmmmm I dont like the idea of 500 BF, happier with 300.Otherwise its off to hollywood for the freelancers.No BF maybe 1 drink and less "you buy me drink" from the hangers on.
